Curious about how you'd rate mine and my fam's names!

Jonathan Paul
Nikki Lynn
Danielle Denise
David Antonio
Destiny Faith
Shyann Renee
Mason Joseph

Jonathan Paul- This name is actually one I'm contemplating for my baby! Very handsome and cute, classic. So a 9

Jonathan- A classic name and strong name and the nicknames Jonny and Jon are cute. So an 8.

Paul- A very strong name, very sensible sounding and one of my personal favorites. So a 10
---------------

Nikki Lynn- I know a lot of Nikki Lynn's. So its actually a very popular combo. So a 7

Nikki- Seems like its short for Nicole or something like that. Its become pretty common though. So a 6

Lynn- A nice unisex name (especially in the 40's and 50's), but a bit short for me. So a 7
---------------

Danielle Denise- Seems a little repetitive in sound and letters but still nice. So a 7

Danielle- One of my favorites, a classic french name. Has a good ring and flow. So a 10!

Denise- A little dated but still nice and cute. So a 6
---------------

David Antonio- Has a nice sound and classic but not odd or boring. So a 7

David- A classic name and strong name and the nicknames Jonny and Jon are cute. So an 8

Antonio- Always makes me think of Anthony but still nice and unique. So a 7
---------------

Destiny Faith- A double "virtue" name with similar meanings. Nice, but I couldn't see Destiny on an adult. So a 6

Destiny- Never been a fan of word names and "virtue" names that are new. Personally has always reminded me of an "entertainer". So a 4

Faith- A very nice name, very calm and pretty. So a 9.
---------------

Shyann Renee- A little short but still nice with a cute and sweet sound. So a 7

Shyann- Nice name, not a favorite spelling but has a nice ring. So an 7.

Renee- Classical and sweet, but a little short for my tastes, so an 8
---------------

Mason Joseph- Has a nice sound and feel to it. Cute but adult too. So an 8

Mason- A nice name, not exactly a favorite but still cute on a little boy. So an 8.

Joseph- A biblical name, not exactly one of my favorites, but with a good feel to it. So a 7.
---------------

Hope you liked my ratings! I try to be as honest as possible without being mean or rude. I mean no offence what so ever.

Here's my sister's favorite names:
Rossie (prn ross-y) Kay
Alexis Elaine/Marie

Robert Charles Jr
Matthew Joseph

Rossie Kay- Not a huge fan. A little short and both seem like nicknames to me. So a 5

Rossie- Very masculine to me since its the name of a character on the show "Criminal Minds", David Rossie and he goes by Rossie So a 4

Kay- A bit short for me, sounds like a nickname for Katelyn, Kathryn or Kate/Katie though. So a 5
---------------

Alexis Elaine- Has a nice sound and feel to it. Cute but a grown up middle name. So a 7

Alexis- Flows well, not overly long and sweet, though a little childish. So an 7.

Elaine- A nice name for girls and adults. Nicknames Lane/Laney and Elle/Ellie are nice. So an 8
----------------

Alexis Marie- Has a nice sound, though a little short. Cute and sweet for any age. So a 7

Alexis- Flows well, not overly long and sweet, though a little childish. So an 7.

Marie- A classic and very nice sound and ring to it. Very cute. So a 9
-----------

Robert Charles- A very classic and popular combo. Very handsome, though a little dated. So a 7

Robert- A very classic name and I'm a sucker for those. I also like the nickname Robbie. So an 8

Charles- A very classic name with nice flow. I also like the nickname Charlie. So an 8
-------------

Matthew Joseph- Has a nice sound and feel to it. Cute but grown up. So a 7

Matthew- A very nice name on a little boy or a man. So an 8.

Joseph- A biblical name, not exactly one of my favorites, but with a good feel to it. So a 7.
-------------

David Sebastian
Sophia Renee
Naomi Claire

David Sebastian- Mixing classic/dated. A nice combo, not to long or short. So a 7

David- A classic name and strong name and the nicknames Jonny and Jon are cute. So an 8

Sebastian- Has very nice flow and is very regal sounding. So an 8.
-------------

Sophia Renee- Has a very nice French feel to it. I love it. So a 10

Sophia- This name makes me think of princess' too and its very cute. So a 9

Renee- Classical and sweet, but a little short for my tastes, so an 8
--------------

Naomi Claire- Has a nice ring to it and though I'm not a fan of the first name, I like this combo. So a 6

Naomi- Not a fan of this name since I knew a girl named Naomi and people teased her (cruelly) that it was " I Moan" backwards, so it can spawn some nasty nicknames. So a 3

Claire- Very classical and sounds very nice. So a 9.

Aurora Madelyn- Very nice! Unique and classic without being crazy or boring. Very cute but can work for all ages. So a 9

Aurora- Unique but not entirely a "rare" name exactly. A nice first or middle name. So a 7

Madelyn- A very regal sounding name and god for girls and adults. A personal favorite. So a 9.

Theodore Noah

Violet Rebecca
Lillian Terri

<3 Thanks cutie! ;)

Theodore Noah- I like Noah Theodore a little more, but still nice either way. So an 8

Theodore- Classical, but a little long for my tastes, Theo is a cute nickname, so an 8

Noah- I LOVE this name, I personally think it is adorable on baby boys. But it has good meaning as well. So a 9
----------------

Violet Rebecca- Makes me think "Violent Rebecca" but not to bad. Classic but not boring. So a 7

Violet- I love nature names and flower names are my favorite. It has nice flow too. So a 9.

Rebecca- Not a huge favorite but still very classical and nice. So another 8.
--------------

Lillian Terri- Has a nice sound, though looks a little incomplete to me. So a 6

Lillian- Nature names/plant names are some of my favorite, and Lillian is obviously like Lily. It has nice flow too. So an 8

Terri- Never been a fan of this. Though unisex, its more masculine to me and seems like its short for something, Terrence maybe. So a 5

(Regarding Irony) thank you for your honestly and I have to say I agree whole heartily. I have received quite the criticism (all solicited) and have shared with him my concerns. Though I don't believe my husband has any intention on changing her first name from Irony, no matter how others react... You are very right kids are brutal when it comes to teasing. My name is quite simple - Annette and growing up I was teased... kids used to ask me if I was going fishing with "A-net" or asked if I liked Skippy peanut butter- referring to Annette Funicello - which was the era I grew up in. It now seems so petty but it really bugged me. But I really don't think it matters what your name is if they want to they will find something to pick apart. Though I agree no one should intentionally choose a name that creates a mean platform.
which I do believe my husband has really chosen this from his heart and somehow I think it will be the best choice when she knows how much it meant to her dad, all alone his decision. I really hope somehow we have chosen with the best intentions possible... I'm concerned but hopeful.

On another note (not that it is of much relevance) when my husband and I were married, both of us actually changed our last name to Lawless... his last name was his decision to change after a horrible childhood, he wanted a complete new start. So Lawless was developed just by choice. I have thought that through as well as our little one is attached to a name with such strength. Most of us are handed down names from generation. Not ours, she will be the first...

Someone suggested Ireny and I thought it was a good option... what are your thoughts ?
as well we have no real ties to a middle name, if you have any suggestions, please share..
Your opinion and creative nature has been of value. thanks again...

Sasha Nadine/Sasha Naomi
Nadia Florence

Dominic Leo
Sawyer Nathaniel
Milo Alexander

Sasha Nadine- Has a nice ring to it, childish with Sasha but grown up with Nadine. So a 7

Sasha- Never been a fan, but a unisex name as it is a form of Alexander, more common on girls though. So a 6

Nadine- A very classic, though slightly dated, name. Very nice, and I've heard Nadia as a nickname. So an 8
-----------------

Sasha Naomi- Both sound a little to childish to me for an adult, but they have a nice sound. So a 6

Sasha- Never been a fan, but a unisex name as it is a form of Alexander, more common on girls though. So a 6

Naomi- Not a fan of this name since I knew a girl named Naomi and people teased her (cruelly) that it was " I Moan" backwards, so it can spawn some nasty nicknames. So a 3
-----------------

Nadia Florence- Has a very nice sound and look. Very cute but grown up too. So an 8

Nadia- A rather uncommon name but still really nice. So a 7

Florence- Makes me think Florence Nightingale, but thats not bad. I love this name. So an 8
-----------------

Dominic Leo- Seems like both names are little incomplete but not awful. So a 7

Dominic- Reminds me of Dominos or short for Dominique but still nice. So a 7

Leo- Obviously the Astrological sign and constellation are the first things to come to mind. But not a bad name. So a 7
----------------

Sawyer Nathaniel- Has a nice sound and ring. Sawyer can be modern and classic while Nathaniel is all classic. So a 7

Sawyer- Reminds me of the book and a last name but not awful. Classic because of the book, modern because its not as established as others. So a 6

Nathaniel- Love this name, very cute and grown up, Nathan is a nice nickname and so is Nat. So a 9.
-----------------

Milo Alexander- Has a nice sound and ring to it, not a fan of the look though. So a 7

Milo- Never been a fan of this one. A little short, and sounds a little silly to me. But not awful. So a 6

Alexander- A very very regal and empirical name, great for a boy. So a 9.

I actually like the look of Ireny, makes me think of the name Irene (which I love). Perhaps Irene with the NN Ireny? Just a suggestion. :P Btw, I love the name Annette!

I understand where you coming from and that it has great importance, just that for me pairing Irony/Ireny with Lawless just seems a little over the top. Had I seen Irony with almost any other surname it would have been a little easier to take as a name itself. Though Irony/Ireny as a middle name would be a bit easier as well.

I'm sure that no matter what you name her she will know that she and her name meant a lot to both of you, especially when she see's how much though and effort went into her naming. (Which I think it's wonderful that both of you are putting so much into her name, even if it's not my style :P )

I'm glad you like my ratings and advice and I'm glad that it has been of some help to you!

Zelda- Actually a very old name, a variant of Zorelda, another very old name. I personally love it, but could never use it because of the obvious connection :P So a 7

I will admit that one of the first things I think of are the games but Zelda is also my great-grandmothers name, so I had connections with it before I learned of the games. :)

Austin Kendall

Austin Kendall- Has a nice sound. "Modern" without being crazy or made up. Cute, though I can see both names on teens, I cant see them on adults. So a 7

Austin- Not a big fan as words/places (Austin, TX) like this as a name but its nice enough. So a 7.

Kendall- Always makes me think of the Kindle, also becoming a unisex name as well. Which isn't necessarily bad. So a 7

Shea- I see Shay more often than Shea but both are nice, a little short though. So a 7

Honor- A "newer/pseudo" virtue name so not really a fan, especially since it seems more masculine to me, though it was popular in the pilgrim era. So a 6

Serenity- Another "newer/pseudo" virtue name. I personally only like it as the twin name on my list. So a 5

Selene- A cute but grown up name. I love the spelling Celene the most, but both are nice. So an 8

Stella- A nice French name, though becoming very common. So a 7

Zuri- An uncommon/rarer name. Seems foreign perhaps? But still nice though a little short. So a 6

Keera- I've seen Kira as well and personally not a fan of either one. Seems a little childish. So a 6

Nova- This is my male kitten's name, so for me its strikes me as a pet name, but could work for a girl, but childish and short as well. So a 6

Kaiah- I prefer the spelling Caia, looks a little more classic that way to me, though both are nice. So a 7

Luna- Makes me think "Lunatic or Looney" and it also strikes me as just a bit childish, though as a middle name could be nice. So a 6

Talia- Seems like it's short for Natalia and feels more like a nickname rather than a real one. So a 5

Kyra- Seems like it may be made up or a nickname for Kyrie. So a 5

Tallulah- I know this is an old name, but it has never appealed to me. It looks silly to me and made up. So a 5

Teagan- A nice unisex name, I've seen it on both boys and girls. Cute, but can possibly work on an adult. So a 7

Shiloh- Makes me think of the book and the civil war. Seems a bit more masculine and more of a pet name to me, but it's pretty well established. So a 6

Levi- I'm rather iffy about this name for a boy, I know it's biblical but its also a brand of jeans. So for a girl, no. So a 4
