I've always used it for a girl. I guess that could be Leighton Meester's fault lol Though, I think it would work with either in the right combo.
random little side question, how does everyone PN Evelyn?
Ehv-eh-lyn is how I've always heard it, I know about fifteen of them, ten of them are my grandmothers age, lol

I pronounce it the last way you mentioned. I was wondering because I know pronunciation can be what makes some like a combo and vice versa. I had thought about it when you mentioned something about Bay Evelyn (yes, I'm that lazy I won't scroll back up to get what it was )
LOL yeah, I automatically say EVE-eh-lyn purely because I greet people at work far too often "Welcome to Crabtree & Evelyn!" yada yada yada So when I say it it kinda flows in. Though to be honest I kinda think no matter how you pronounce Evelyn it'd clash at least a little I think Bay would do well with a consonant first lettered middle name. Like Bay Nathalia or Bay Victoria (I'm trying to be less picky in my head being the last name for GP starts in a vowel so I want all the names i chose to end in a consonant to flow better but its hard!)
