Cecily Aurora Rome (27) is Johanna's mother and Mikah's sister. Cecily is a single mother by choice: when she heard a coworker debating whether to abort her baby or give her up for adoption, Cecily offered to adopt the baby if her colleague would carry it to term. Ultimately, she did, and Cecily went through the process of officially adopting Johanna. She is a fan of musicals, such as Sweeney Todd, The Phantom of the Opera, and Les Mis. She recently landed the role of Catherine "Cathy" Hiatt in a local production of The Last Five Years, one of her dream roles. She is starting to suspect she may be developing feelings for the male lead, who is in a relationship, which makes her performance that much more real.

Jonathan Elias Rosenberg (29) is Kennedy's brother-in-law and the man Cecily is falling in love with. He is extremely excited to be playing Jamie Wellerstein with the community theater this year. Similarly to his character in The Last Five Years, Jonathan's relationship with his wife has gotten steadily rockier over the years as he pursues a career on Broadway. He is attracted to Cecily, and its fairly obvious to quite a few members of the company.
