I like Charlotte Lennon! I was thinking Charlotte Avery, but I'm still not so sure about it. And thanks, those are some good nicknames. I think I like Lola.

Wdyt of Antonina?

I think Antonina is very pretty. It reminds of Anna Karenina, only because of the Nina ending, I haven't actually read the book. It feels very regal to me, like it could be the name of a foreign princess. I think a more popular middle name would balance it out really well; Antonina Lily, Antonina Grace, Antonina Rose, etc.

Cute! I'm not crazy about Felix, but I do like it and Flick is cute as a nn while he's little.

Do you prefer Benjamin Fox or Benjamin Grey? I think I'm leaning toward the latter, but can't decide.

Benjamin Grey. Fox doesn't feel like a name to me. It's also a little too modern for the classicness of Benjamin

Addison: I prefer Benjamin Fox, it has a quirkier feel and flows better imo. I also prefer Grey as a mn for girls, although it is handsome on a boy.

Unevensomewhere: I prefer the spelling Jackson or Jaxon over Jaxsen, they look cleaner to me, and they're the most popular spellings meaning he wouldn't have to correct people all his life. However, if you really love the spelling go for it, there are much weirder names out there.

Addison: I love Benjamin Fox! So handsome <3

Unevensomewhere: I agree that I prefer Jaxon. Your spelling accomplishes the same thing, he will just ALWAYS have to spell it for people.

Laugh-Dream-Love: That is a tough one. I think I prefer Ada-Pear a bit more though. Super cute!

I agree with Hannah, I think Jackson and Jaxon are better spellings, but the name is nice. :)

I prefer Alistair merely because it is more common, and therefore more intuitive. Ace is a super cute nickname, I have it on my list for both Silas and Asaph. :) I really like the name Alistair btw.

Both are super handsome, but I have to lean towards Benjamin Grey on this one. I'm a sucker for Grey/Gray, it's on my own list.

Benjamin Grey. Fox doesn't feel like a name to me. It's also a little too modern for the classicness of Benjamin

____

I agree with what's been said above, it might be better to pick a more common spelling like Jaxon or Jackson.

Ada-Pearl or Mary-Pearl?

It's tough... both are so sweet! Though I like Ada better on its own, I think Mary-Pearl works just a tad better as a double name here.

Which spelling:

Alistair or Alastair

Which nick name for the above name:
(Is one better based on the chosen spelling, or does it matter?)

Alec or Ace

I personally like Alastair better, even though it's the less common spelling. Both are great options, so I would just say choose whichever you like better. And Ace is a really cute nickname for it  :)

My question from the last page seems to have been missed, so I'll ask it again:

What do you think of Arden? And which gender do you prefer it on?

I've recently fallen in love with it for both genders and can't decide.

I like Arden for girls, I think it is pretty! I am not a fan of it for boys, though. For girls it seems "fresh" but not for boys; I just don't like the way it feels.

I love the name Arden! I think it'd be great on either gender, but I really love it on a girl

Arden is super pretty for both but I feel like it's a bit  more feminine but if you really like it on a boy go for it!

I prefer Kinsley a tad more. Kinley is like the last name McKinley misspelled...so don't know if people would see Kinley the same way???

Salem is a super handsome name for a boy that I have considered multiple times! Definitely works for a boy!

Thoughts on Locklyn for a girl?

Kinley or Kinsley?

Could Salem work for a boy?

Honestly, I'm not a big fan of Kinley or Kinsley. I think if I had to pick one I'd lean a little more towards Kinley, though. I just don't like how it sounds as much with the S in it.

I go back and forth between thinking Salem is really handsome and not liking it because of the bad connotation with the witch trials. I wouldn't use it myself, and I think you might get the occasional comment from other parents/kids about his name if you did, but I think it's usable if you want to use it.

Thoughts on Locklyn for a girl?

What are longer versions of "Jet" for a boy?

TIA!

I think Locklyn could work on a girl. The way you spell it with -lyn at the end makes it feminine. I love Lachlan on boys, but haven't heard it/variations on a girl before. I wouldn't use it myself, but I think it could be cute.

As for Jet, Jethro is about the only full name I could find. But what you could do is name him something with the initials JT (or JET if you like double middles, or happen to have a last name that starts with T) and call him Jet, and that would work. I had something similar to that on my list, with Jace from the initials JC in John Carter.

Like Jenna, I'm not so big on either Kinley or Kinsley, but choosing between the two I'd say Kinley as it sounds less like a nickname.

Salem is a great name for a boy! It's on my list.

Lachlan is such a strong, handsome boy name that I really can't see it on a girl, especially with a misspelling. Sorry!! :(

Jet is cool! I like it for Jethro. It is a certain sort of nickname that you honestly could use it for any J name.

I think Locklyn is pretty but I think you might get crap for the name and I bet she would have to correct people on the spelling her whole life.

I personally don't like Jet too much. It is kind of cute though. Like above you could use Jethro or maybe even Jett.

Is it acceptable for a parent to make up a name for their baby?

What would you do if you and a co-worker(Or friend, sibling, ect) where having a baby, and the name you were dead set on using was announced to be the name of your co-worker's baby?
