Girl:

Riley Augusta- I like Riley and am really glad that you went with this spelling, but this is definitely a name that I prefer on boys. Augusta isn't bad and it flows with Riley. I'd give this combo a 5/10.

Brynn Adelaide- Brynn is short and sweet, which I love. And Adelaide is beautiful in all the opposite ways from Brynn. I'd give this combo an 8/10 just because the flows sounds a little off to me.

Emilia Odette- I love this combo. By far my favorite on your list. Both names are beautiful. Odette is also on my list, so I especially have a soft spot for that name. They sound good together too. 10/10.

Ruthanna Louise Ruthie- Ruthie is a cute nickname and Louise is beautiful. I'm not super sold on Ruthanna. I think that Ruthanne is much better than Ruthanna and that Ruthanne flows much better with Louise. I'd give this combo a 5/10.

Josette Evelyn Josie- I've never heard of Josette before. It sounds a bit made up to me, honestly. I dont know why, but my brain keeps wanting to say Rosette instead for some reason. Haha. I do love both Evelyn and Josie, though. I actually like Josie Evelyn or Evelyn Josie better than Josette Evelyn. But, I'm not personally huge on official nicknames. I typically would just prefer that name them what I actually want to call them if it's a real name like Josie is. I'd give this combo a 7/10.

Avonlea Rose Evangelina- I don't know if Avonlea Rose is supposed to be a double first name or if Rose and Evangelina are both middle names. If it's two middle names, then I think that this combo really works. If Avonlea Rose is supposed to be a double first name, then I'd ask you to reconsider moving Rose to the middle name spot. Double first names suck. I like all three names, but the fact that Avonlea and Evangelina end in the same sound (I'm assuming) destroys the flow for me. I'd suggest changing the second middle name to Evangeline. I'd give this combo a 8/10.

Lyra Holland- Lyra is beautiful. Holland sounds exclusively like a last name to me. And the flow isn't there for me at all. Id give this one a 4/10. Maybe Lyra Rose?

Boy:

Alaric Owen- I love Owan, but Alaric is not a name I would ever use personally. I doesn't sound flattering as a name to me at all. 2/10.

Ezra August- Ezra is great, if not trendy. (Though I've got a few trendy names on my list too, so I cant judge. Haha). August is fine, but doesn't flow great with Ezra to me. I'd suggest Ezra Owen or Ezra Brooks. 7/10.

Alden Henry- I really like both these names, but I think that Henry Alden flows better. 8/10.

Stellan Brooks- Stellen looks like a mispronunciation of Stella or Kellan to me. Not a fan. I love Brooks as a middle name. 3/10.

Emery Wilder- I great combo. I love it. 10/10.

Caspar Grant Hugo- I like all of these individually, but all together they sound kind of clunky. Casper is a great first name. I'd prefer Casper Grant or Casper Hugo. 6/10 all together. Casper Grant= 9/10 Casper Hugo = 8/10 Hugo Grant = 10/10

Harper Solomon- Solid combo. I love that you have Harper on a boy. It's so much better on a boy imo. I really like Solomon as a middle name here. 9/10

Thanks for the feedback Annie!

Rose Evangelina would be a double middle name. Avonlea is pronounced AV-un-lee, it comes from Anne of Green Gables. I don't know how that pronunciation makes you feel about the flow with Evangelina haha!

Girls -

Lyra Holland and Josette Evelyn "Josie" are 15/10 nuts beautiful. I LOVE these. Josette is an offbeat French name I would love to more of in the States, and I feel similarly about Lyra and Holland. And Evelyn is a solid classic which is super popular right now for a reason. These names are a gorgeous combination of vintage and modern vibes. None of them are unheard of, but you're also certainly not going to walk into a classroom full of ten of them, either.

Brynn is my name and I generally dig combinations of my name. :) Brynn Adelaide sounds really good! Good balance of soft and strong sounds.

Ruthanna Louise "Ruthie" feels very vintage in a good way. I tend to find the name Ruth somewhat uninspiring on its own, so I like Ruthanna, and I do enjoy hearing vintage nicknames like Ruthie on teeny tiny kids in 2020.

I like how Riley Augusta looks, and I like both names individually, but there's something about when I say it out loud that they don't quite seem to go together. The names are pretty different in style - a modern unisex name with an old-school feminine name - and I'm just not sure they're best paired together.

I'm not sure if Avonlea is "uh-VON-lee-uh" or "AV-uhn-lee," but either way, Avonlea and Evangelina strike me as too similar in sound to include both in one name. I do like Avonlea Rose or Rose Evangelina, though!

Boys -

Of your boys' list, I love Alden Henry, Stellan Brooks, and Caspar Grant Hugo! I love your style, in general, and the names which are rare and refreshing yet still heard of. Alden Henry comes across as very sage and wise.

Alaric Owen flows very well together. Like Brynn Adelaide, I like the inclusion of both strong and soft sounds. Ezra August is lovely, too, though I would say the double A sounds might run together a bit.

I feel similarly about Harper Solomon as I do about Riley Augusta - I like both names individually, and I like how it looks written down, but again, the names strike me as very divergent in style (you've got a modern unisex name with an old-school masculine name), and I'm just not sure they flow best together when spoken out loud.

---

I'm not especially fond of the individual names Emilia, Odette, Emery, and Wilder, so I'll pass on commenting on those.

Thank you Brynn! Avonlea is AV-uhn-lee. It's a fictional place from Anne of Green Gables. I really appreciate all of your feedback, and you have some really good points to consider with some of my pairings!

Girl:

Riley Augusta - Not a fan of Riley for a girl, but I like Augusta and the combo flows okay.

Brynn Adelaide - Brynn's too masculine for my tastes, but Adelaide has been growing on me.  It also doesn't flow well.

Emilia Odette - Beautiful and classic!

Ruthanna Louise “Ruthie” - Classic but not common.  I like it.

Josette Evelyn “Josie” - Not a fan of Josette.  Evelyn is okay.  Maybe just Josie Evelyn?  I think Josie's substantial enough to work on its own, unlike most nicknames.

Avonlea Rose Evangelina - Not a fan of Avonlea or Evangelina, but I love Rose.  Avonlea just doesn't sound like a real name and I also think the whole thing together is too many syllables.

Lyra Holland - Love Lyra, but Holland doesn't sound feminine.

Boy:

Alaric Owen - Not a fan of the names, either individually or together.  They don't flow.  Aaric Owen maybe?  I'm still not a fan, but it flows better than the former.

Ezra August - Love!

Alden Henry - Love!

Stellan Brooks - I used to love Stellan.  If only it didn't sound like Stalin, I'd still consider it for a son.  Not a fan of Brooks.  The combo flows well.

Emery Wilder - Emery is nice as a boys' name.  I appreciate seeing it on the boys' list and not the girls'.  Not a fan of Wilder because I dislike most word names, but it goes well with Emery.

Caspar Grant Hugo - I like Caspar and Hugo, but not a fan of Grant.  I don't mind the whole name together though.

Harper Solomon - I love Harper for a boy.  I never saw the appeal of it for girls, as it's a surname.  Solomon flows really nicely with it.

My favorite combos of your list are Riley Augusta, Emilia Odette, Alaric Owen, Ezra August, and Emery Wilder!

Individually I like Riley, Augusta, Adelaide, Emilia, Louise, Evelyn, Rose, Lyra, Alaric, Owen, Ezra, August, Henry, Wilder, Casper, Hugo, and Harper. I used Wilder for my third son so I'm a bit biased.

I prefer Emmett to Emery, personally, as Emery said out loud I almost always mishear as Emily.  Plus I think of emery boards, like for your nails. I prefer Josephine to Josette and Evangeline to Evangelina myself, as well, even though they're fine names in them selves.
