Found this story about twins Lexus and Amber Conway. One of them was born on the 31st August, the other on 1st September. Here in England the academic year/applicant thing is from say 1st sep 2010 - 31st august 2011. Which means that they will be in different school years. They have family in Spain so if the authorities won't let them start school at the same time then they might move there.
Also, what do you think of Lexus and Amber?

Naw :')
Twins born a day apart, thats cute.
I think they should make an exception and let them both start in the same year. I mean one day doesn't make much of a difference.. right?!

Right!
Lol.
The authorities do seem to be quite good about it.
Hopefully they will find a little nugget of common sense

There's twins like that a grade & now graduated above me. School cut off here is Sept 30. So one just graduated & the other is going to be a senior. Quiet stupid if you ask me. They're a day apart, let them start at the same time.
