So I came up with a middle name yesterday that would honor both of my mom's parents. My grandfather is Lark Alfred, Jr. but has always gone by L.A. and my grandmother is Mary Nell but has always gone by Nell. I've always liked the idea of using Lark-Alfred as a middle name for a boy but I've never been able to find a first name to pair it with.
I was thinking about middle names and while I've always wanted to use Lark for a boy, I like the idea of using it for a girl as well. But one syllable middle names, no matter how interesting, just feel a bit filler to me. So I came up with the name Marylark, using both my grandparents first names.
I like that it honors both of my mom's parents who I am very close to. I also like that it sounds like Merry Lark or a "Happy Lark" and Lark is a slang term for a fun time or joking around. I think it could sort of pass as a bird name, though I don't think there is a real bird called a Marylark.
What are your thoughts? Is it too weird?
Does it sound good with the first name Sidda? Sidda Marylark?

I think it makes a nice middle name. I would advise against it as a first because it's a bit unconventional, but I think it's sweet to honor your grandparents. Sidda Marylark is a lovely combo.

I'm loving how it sounds, and it's a unique way to honor both of your grandparents, but I'm not loving how it looks - it looks a little too smashed together. I would prefer it hyphenated - Mary-Lark.
I like Sidda, probably because it reminds me of one of favorites, Saida, and I think Marylark compliments it very well. You could always just use them as two middle names as well - Sidda Mary Lark. My middle name is Mary Jude, after my grandmother, and though it is technically two middle names, I've always viewed it more as one because of the way the names almost blend together, but Mary Jude just looks a lot cleaner than Maryjude (of course Marylark is much better than that haha) or even Mary-Jude, and I feel Marylark would look a little nicer as Mary-Lark or Mary Lark. Just my two cents :]
