WDYT? Too dated--if you feel like they are dated, how would you feel about using them?

Jennifer ~ LOVE this one (I guess I had better like it, since I am stuck w/it) ! I really do not think that this name will ever be dated! Very common but not dated!
Jenna ~ Love this one as well and will probably not date as well!
Stephanie ~ I like this name and is is also common but never will be dated!
These are dated to me:
Lisa ~ Okay.
Tina ~ Okay.
Renee ~ Cute
Helen ~ This is one I would never use, as it does seem to dated to me! And it's my step-grandmother's name!

Jennifer and Stephanie are a bit more modern. I've seen Renee a lot recently and I don't dislike Helen, it's more old fashioned than dated.
Lisa and Tina are pretty dated though in my opinion

Jennifer - I think this one is timeless, and I can see it on a little girl. I like the nn Jenny too.
Jenna - I can still see this on a baby girl.
Stephanie - I'm not a big fan of the name anyway, maybe a little 'eighties'.
Lisa - I know a LOT of Lisas, they're all around my age, so it seems a little dated to me. There are lots of names that incorporate the 'lisa' sound though, so perhaps a nn?
Tina - I'm not a fan, and I think it is a little dated. Christina is okay.
Renee - I adore this name! Perhaps it would work better as a mn.
Helen - I can't really see this on a newborn today, even though Helena is making a comeback. I know that this has sentimantal meaning for you though, would it be as a fn or mn? Would you change it at all?

Jenn: sorry about calling your name dated I think its a beautiful name that should be used more often.
Rosie: I love the name Helen, just as it is. I'm not a fan of Helena. Even before my art teacher passed away, I loved this name. You're right, I can't see it on a little girl either, and even though it does feel dated, it also has an almost majestic feel to it (maybe because I'm thinking of Helen and the Trojan war haha---she was supposedly the most beautiful woman in the world). I'm loving the combo Helen Olympia right now, but I'm not sure I would ever use it in real life. Maybe a middle name would be the way to go

That is most certainly alright! I am not going to attack you for it! LOL! Did I sound to harsh?

Lol, it is quite okay Rose, I didn't think that at all, b/c some would consider my name dated!
I just think it is way to common!

I like a lot of names that have a "dated" feel to them:
Jennifer
Jenna
Stephanie
Lisa
Tina
Renee
Helen

Of these names the only one I would consider using is surprisingly (and against the majority) Helen. I think it is timeless. Jenna is okay but I'd never use it, the others are very 70s or 80s to me...but in another 10-20 years they will probably be the norm.
