What are your thoughts on Afton as a middle name for a boy?

Also, been loving Raphael. Too lofty?

I love the name Afton! But, I definitely see it as a girl's name- Afton Cooper in Dallas for one. That and I know another little Afton whose full name is Afton Elizabeth nn Affie.

Thank you!! hadn't thought of it on a girl, but it's cute that way, too!

on an unrelated note, does Lola work as a nickname for Lenora?

It's no problem! :) Yes, I think you could use Lola as a nn for Lenora as I've heard it being used for Eleanor which is pretty similar :D

Ive never heard Afton for a girl...my initial thought would be boy. Its not my style bit i think it would make an interesting middle. I like Aston as well.

I like it! It has a preppy feel, and I think it would make a good first or middle name. Raphael is very handsome too, I don't find it lofty at all; it has the same sort of feel to it as Gabriel imo.

I kind of like Afton. When I first read it, it felt cut off.. I grew up knowing a Grafton, so it looked like a misspelling in my head. I think I might even prefer it to Grafton, honestly! I love A names generally though. :)

I like Raphael! I don't tend to think of it as lofty. I can see it on a cool guy. Or a sweet and sensitive guy.. basically, I think it works. I think Raf is a fun nickname too.

I like Afton a lot! It would make a very nice mn. Also, Raphael is a very nice name. I like Lola as a nn for Lenora. I had a Lenora in my class with nn Nora, too.
