Today, two names I can't stand are Barney and Hannah...Barney used to scare me as a child and I'm not Hannah Montanna's biggest fan. I swear, I walked into the women's clothes at Wal-Mart and I saw Hannah Montanna merchandise everywhere, so now I can't stand Hannah Montanna. She's taken over our Wal-Mart...lol. The sad thing is, I have a nephew named Barney...

I agree, I do NOT like Hannah one bit. Not only do I know five Hannahs (honestly), but it's only becoming more and more popular with all this Hannah Montana business. Name your kid Montana then! At least that has personality! As for boys, I don't care for Jayden/Kaden/Hayden/Brayden/Aiden. What's next? Maiden? Let's hope not..

Today I am very anti Jayden. It's in part to my 18 month old nephew's antics this afternoon. He somehow got out of his crib and into the changing supplies. There was baby powder all over his room. I think my sister needs to seriously invest in a steam cleaner. I can only see issues with spaghetti sauce and mud stains on her "ecru" carpet in her future with this kid.
But in general, I'm not a big fan of the Payton, Peyton, Hayden, and Jayden name craze.
Braden, though, is a different story. I've kind of always liked the name, but not the trendy spellings like Brayden/Bradyn/Braeden/Braiden.

I'm not a big fan of the trend of Kayden...Hayden...and Cadence....For boys (especially) It's cute for a kid/baby but imagine being a grown man with the name Kayden or Hayden...NOT cute at all. IMO.

4. Jordan
5. Jade

I hate my name. I know a lot of others have it as well, but I just can't stand it.
I'm naming my children what I want to, not what someone else wants. Ohhh....that makes me mad!

I'm not a fan of Hannah either - it's just too popular right now. I'm not a fan of any of the poular names ending in the -ANNA sound, like Anna, Savannah, Hannah, although I do think Vannah would be a fun name (like Vanna White!).

i agree, there are so many fabulous handsome boys names and then all of a sudden i meet a little girl with one.. i dont like that trend at all. i can't stand the name miley, partially because of the bad role model, but today i just do not like it all that muchh. im not a big fan ofthe name tina, just the name tina, i don't like that much. my stepsister has that name, but i just don't like it really, she doesn't either but its of family importance so thats why she was named it... as for boy's, i don't like jayden, kayden....

I've never liked Tina either, and I don't really know why. I came across a Tilly at the supermarket and I just wanted to grimace. Sure, some of the nicknames I like may be cutesy, and there's nothing wrong with a-nickname-as-a-first-name, but I felt like cringing. Tilly sounds like an old lady's name to me.

I really can't stand the name Taylor on a girl; Jordan's almost as bad but not quite. For some reason Taylor just bugs me. I think some boyish names are cute on girls (i.e. some days I really like Colby for a girl), but Taylor has never ever appealed to me as a girl's name.
For boys, I really dislike superpopular names. (Gage (seems trendy), the -den's, etc) ... thing is, it seems more traditional boys' names are becoming the "in" thing nowadays. I hope not; I love Henry, Benedict, Chauncey, George, Harrison, Samuel, etc... but I'd hate for them to become the new trend.

Taylor is soooooooooooooooooooooo cute on a girl!!! It's my sister's middle name, Amanda Taylor. Anddd I have a good friend, Taylor Renee. Anddd my mom's friend Liz has a daughter Taylor. Andd my sister in law has a daughter Cheyenne Taylor.
