I wanted to try something a little different. Each character is going to have an honoring name in some way, shape, or form. I'll list the person that will be honored and a brief description of that person but you will have creative license to decide how that character will be honored. 
You could do a Jr, you could use initials, a different form of the name, or use something in the characters description to honor that character by. Have fun!
LN: Sullivan, Mills, Shepherd, Jordan

1's name will honor his father, Augustine Keats. 1 and his father were very close growing up. 1 unfortunately lost his father in his early 20's. His father was a farmer but enjoyed hunting on his spare time.

2's name honors her grandmother, Anna Josephine, and her mother Joanne Marie. Anna loved literature and passed on her love for books to Joanne, who in turn showed 2 how wonderful reading could be.

3's name honors his father and/or grandfather, 1 and/or Augustine Keats. With 1 having been so close to his father, he wanted to share that bond with his son.
