I have a problem.

Someone I know is naming her baby Cutter.
His twin's going to have a similar sounding C name which I can't remember.

How could she name her baby this???
Should I tell her what the name makes me think of?
What do you think of the name?

Please help!!!

I can't say I'm a fan of it and there is potential for a lot of teasing when he is older, but I don't think there is much you can say. People can get defensive when it comes to naming.

True.

I guess I'll just stay quiet and hope she changes her mind.
I wasn't a big fan of her first two kid's names, but she deserves the freedom to choose whatever names she likes.

Thanks!

Its one of those things that may be best if she asks your opinion to comment, but otherwise you can only say so much. I feel like I'd let my initial response be like "Cutter? As in someone who slits their wrists?" but.. thats me personally <3

though people do deserve the liberty to name their kids as they please, I feel like it should be mentioned by at least one person. Cause the child does have potential teasing going on there

Thanks for your advice, Remy.
I know, that's exactly what I was thinking of the name!

Well, it's too late now, because last night she gave birth to: Cutter Ford and Conley Cline (Conley is a girl).

Now their family consists of Bailey & Kevin (the parents), Blakely, Ridley, Conley & Cutter (the kids).

Oh well. :)

Mm.. I actually kind of like Blakely.
Conley isn't THAT bad, but Cutter is NOT my style at all.

Unfortunately, there's not much you can do, hon. :)
At the end of the day, you can just hope the kid doesn't get teased for it.

I completely agree with you.

Yes, I'm hoping so.

Thanks!

Yeah, it's too late. Certainly don't say anything now. I think the same thing you do when it is said and I was hopeing you meant Carter instead! I'm not a fan of her kids names, but I think what is worse it that with the current twins I wouldn't know that Conley was a girl if you hadn't said it.
