Writing a fan fiction about the lion king (Scar/Nala pairing and I don't believe that Scar is Nala's father)

In my fan fiction: Scar isn't evil and he's not related to Simba. Mufasa isn't dead either, but has stepped down from being king due to old age.
Simba and Nala are best friends, but later learn that they are half siblings (I know that they aren't, but they are in this)

When Simba becomes king, Nala runs off to find her one true place and runs into Scar. Eventually the two fall in love and have cubs much to the dismay of Zira (Scar's ex and mother of his other three cubs & yes I know that Kovu isn't Scar's but in this he is)

About the cubs:
The female cub: has her mother's fur coloring, but has her father's eyes and her father's intelligence.
Male cub: has his father's fur coloring, but has his mother's eyes and his mother's stubbornness.

A lot of the lions in the movies have traditional African names (aside from Scar).

Examples...

Simba means lion in Swahili

Nala means lioness in Swahili

Suggestions..

Tau (means lion in Tswana)

Izem (means lion in Berber)

Adanna (means father's daughter)

Sipho (means gift)

Thema (means queen)

Udo (means peace)

Xolani (means peace)

Tadala

Nia

Wakesa

Kato
