What do you think of the name Lia for a girl? (Pronounced like Lee-ah)
Is the spelling wierd??? Do you see Lie-ah or Lay-ah as often mispronunciations?
Our last name is similar to Zelinski so I like shorter names...but want to get a feel for what people think of Lia. We have a daughter (almost 2) name Morgan.
Thanks!

I really like it and I don't think people would mispronounce it, seems pretty simple to me.
Personally, I prefer it as a sweet nickname {Adalia, Amelia, Rosalia}, but I think it's great on its own, too. I love the meaning, "Bringer of the gospel".
Good Luck!

I really like the name Lia. That spelling is much nicer then the common original 'Leah'. I know a 'Lia' and everyone at her school pronounces her name correctly its really straightforward.

There was a girl in my school named Lia,, spelt like that. nobody had trouble pronouncing it,, although there may be teasing issues 'Lia's a liar' but it would be the same if you spelt it the other way too. If Lia is the spelling you prefer,, use it I think Morgan and Lia go well together.
