My favorite actress is Emmy Rossum. <3 I first saw her in The Phantom of the Opera. I became obsessed with POTO. Especially the 2004 movie. On and off I've considered using the name Emmanuelle, which is Emmy Rossum's full name. I don't think I could use it as a first name (or convince my husband). WDYT of this name? Would it be good as a first or middle name? What would go well with it for a first or middle?

Emmanuel is ALL boy to me. I can't even picture it on a girl..... Maybe a Emily, Emilia, Emma, Margaret, Amelia, Amelie

I see Emanuel as a boys name.. and Emmanuelle sounds so alike. However, I do know a girl named Emanuela and I thought that was really cute ;) I do prefer Emma or Emily or Emmeline etc more than Emanuela/Emmanuelle, but its nice. Also, I know a little girl named Emma Noelle, because said fast it sounds like Emanuel. Just a thought :) Emmanuelle would work okay as a middle name though, tbh.

I know there is a difference between Emmanuel and Emmanuelle, but I think they would get confused. Maybe you could use Emmanuella instead? It would be more obvious it is for a girl, then.

I would more than likely use it as a middle name. I couldn't see using it as a first unless I used a nickname like Emma, Emmy, Elle, Ellie.
