After their year of traveling came to an end, [Main Character] and [Love Interest] knew their story together wasn't done. However, finances were tight. They both came up with an estimate on how much money they would need for their next holiday. How do they go about this?

As with most everyone else in the world, a global pandemic takes up most of 2020. If their career path is able, they are working from home. Their children are attending virtual classes from home or else home educating. Naturally, this leads to a pretty drastic lifestyle change. As people who love to travel and explore, it was pretty difficult to be stuck within their home 24/7. They also had [insert number] of children around them at all times and less support due to social distancing. Emily Hannah Rowan was born on 30th of January, 1987. She was raised by Mack Walter Rowan and Dorothea Margaret {nee Winslow. She grew up in [roll for location]. Emmy has two siblings named Brooke Hallie Rowan and Ariel Maya Rowan. Emily has curly red hair and blue eyes with lots of freckles, much like her sister Brooke and father, while her mother and sister Ariel had dirty blond hair and brown eyes. The Rowan family lives in the Mid Atlantic region of the USA, more specifically Wilmington, Delaware. 

 

 

Year 1 - 2005 

 

Emily has graduated from high school! She is now 18. Emmy worked hard during her schooling years to afford taking a year off to backpack through South America. Em was drawn to South America not only due to it's budget friendly appeal but the incredible food, positive reviews of the hostels, and the amazing nature she could witness! She isn't sure whether she'll pursue university, begin life in the workforce, or what else after she is done her adventure. She bought herself a digital camera as well as some film cameras, some quality shoes, packed her bags, and was off! 

 

Four weeks into her adventure, Em crosses paths with a fellow backpacker and they hit it off! Her name is Penelope Elizabeth Da Silva. As they both planned on traveling to the same places, it worked out neatly to go together. It was exciting to engage in an undefined relationship whilst exploring these new places.  They were fully living in the moment, the future could be discussed later. 

 

Year 2 - 2006

 

After their year of traveling came to an end, Emily and Peni knew their story together wasn't done. However, finances were tight. They both came up with an estimate on how much money they would need for their next holiday. Em decides to begin working with the family business, a bookstore, to work on her end of the savings. Pepa decides to get a work visa so she can work an entry level job, which thankfully is available through Em's family. They also rent an apartment together along with roommates to maximize their potential savings. 

 

Year 3 - 2007 

 

Emily and Penelope have finally saved up a decent fund for their holiday! This year, they planned to spend a month hiking in the Grand Canyon in Arizona, USA. Before heading out, the two decided to have a dinner together with family at a fancy restaurant. During this dinner, Peni gave a romantic and emotional speech at the end of which included a marriage proposal! Emmy whole heartedly said yes! 

 

Their trip turned out to be even more magical than anticipated. Despite never wanting to leave, they were excited to return home and begin wedding planning. The two set a date for the end of this year. The location would be in Massachusetts, where the state laws were more favorable and easier in regards to gay marriage at the time. The wedding would be fairly intimate, with close family and friends invited. Naturally, the two were stoked to plan their honeymoon! While the two loved the challenges involved backpacking, they decided to enjoy a more relaxing and luxurious experience for their honeymoon. They end up visiting Mykonos, Greece. The beaches were delightful, the food was absolutely heavenly, and they enjoyed themselves greatly! 

 

Year 4 - 2008

 

Em and Peni are thrilled to see what this year has in store for them! They have thus far had three incredible vacations, a proposal, and a wedding! Emmy is turning 21 this year! First things first, they had to decide on their living situation. The decision was made easier, albeit sadly, when Em's beloved aunt passed away, leaving her house willed to Emily. After settling into their new home, Em and Peni decide to adopt a pet! They welcomed home an 8 month old Saint Bernard, whom they named Apollo. He's moderately smart and knows some basic commands, absolutely loves to swim, and often enjoys squeaking his toys just to hear the noises. 

 

Year 5 - 2009

 

Emily and Penelope decide they want to grow their family. A close friend of theirs, Antonio Julian Gonzales, was willing to be a donor. Thankfully, they conceived quickly! Emily decided to carry this baby, as she wanted to more than Penelope. Later that year, they welcome a baby boy! They named him Aiden Cinaed Da Silva. 

 

Year 6 - 2010

 

Adjusting to a new baby has had its challenges, including a drastically different lifestyle. The freedoms the couple enjoyed for the majority of their relationship is all but gone with parenting, careers, upkeeping a home, etc. It seemed the perfect time to take a vacation! They go on a camping trip relatively close to home, just in case camping with a baby ended up being a bad time. They were pleasantly surprised at how well it went! Baby Aiden enjoyed toddling around the campsite, discovering all sorts of textures and smells and colors. 

 

Year 7 - 2011

 

With their family growing, Emily and Penelope begin talking about upgrading their housing. The house was fairly old, so they decided to do some renovations. The kitchen was the spot they decided needed it most, and they absolutely loved the results! They were able to open up more space as well as make the area more child friendly. Now that Aiden is in his two's, he's begun cooking with his Mum and Mami. 

 

Year 8 - 2012

 

This year brings financial fortune to The Da Silva family! Emily completes a program to better her business management skills, leading to increased revenue for the family, which further lead to a raise for Emily! The two decide to upgrade their vehicle, as between their growing pup and child, things already felt a bit cramped. They decided to go for a larger SUV, with the option for third row seating if need be but also trunk space for Apollo to stay in. 

 

Year 9 - 2013 

 

Emily and Peni loved being parents so much! Aiden is such a wonderful child, on the brink of beginning preschool, and his bio dad was pleasantly involved with Aiden. The dynamic had worked smoothly due to excellent communication and a shared desire for Aiden to have the best childhood they could. While Em and Peni were the primary parents and mad most decisions, Tonito visited a couple times a month and assisted from time to time. When Em and Peni approached Tonito about whether he'd be willing to donate for another baby, they were thrilled and relieved when he agreed! This time, they welcome a baby girl. They name her Luna Saoirse Da Silva. Aiden loved his little sister Luna so much! 

 

Year 10 - 2014 

 

Sometimes, it's the small things that turn out to be the big things. Em and Peni put a high priority on quality family time this year, which made a big difference to their moods. Aiden turns five and Luna turns one this year! Thankfully, Apollo is healthy and well too. The increased closeness lead the two to want more kids and they were blessed with identical twin girls! They chose the names Posey Imogen Da Silva and Theodora Citlali Da Silva. Posey and Teddie were thankfully born healthy and well, the perfect additions to the family. 

 

Year 11 - 2015 

 

When Emi and Peni enrolled Aiden into first grade, they were excited to see him grow and learn. However, the school year began pretty rough with lots of calls back home about behavioral incidents. Aiden ended up receiving educational diagnoses of ADHD and ASD. Upon applying accommodations, his behavior drastically bettered to where his grades were stellar and he gained a friend! It was a handful to navigate this with three under three in addition to their 5 year old but thankfully they managed to improve things. 

 

Year 12 - 2016 

 

Em and Peni marvel at how their family has grown. Aiden is now 6, Luna is now 2, and the twins are now 1. Em and Peni decide to plan a nice summer holiday for the bunch. They end up renting a cabin on a lake near the Canadian border. It was wonderful to disconnect from the every day yet still have amenities. 

 

Year 13 - 2017 

 

This year is certainly... eventful. Emily ended up enduring a terrible car accident and now struggles with mobility issues. She will be a semi ambulatory wheelchair user for the unforeseeable future. This limits her ability to work in many areas of the family restaurant but thankfully her knowledge in business made her perfect for taking over managing that end of the business. 

 

Year 14 - 2018 

 

After this many years married to a Latina woman and raising bilingual kids, Em finally took the inititative to begin taking formal classes and better understand. While she knew some conversational spanish verbally, she couldn't read or write and still had many limitations. After dedicating this year to a more thorough understanding of Spanish, she finally felt she could call herself fluent. 

 

Year 15 - 2019 

 

Emily turns 30! To celebrate, she decides to get a tattoo! She ended up getting a half sleeve of floral designs. 

 

Year 16 - 2020 

 

As with most everyone else in the world, a global pandemic takes up most of 2020. It was difficult to adjust to social distancing with running a restaurant, but they managed to adapt their delivery and take out options to be as safe as possible. The convenient, affordable, and easy to understand set up in addition to excellent food lead to a thriving financial year! Their children are attending virtual classes from home. Naturally, this leads to a pretty drastic lifestyle change. As people who love to travel and explore, it was pretty difficult to be stuck within their home 24/7. They also had 4 children around them at all times and less support due to social distancing. Their children are now 10, 6, and 5. Em does her best to both learn something productive and engage in hobbies just for fun. Emmy begins experimenting with cooking international recipes. She also takes up gardening. 

 

Year 17 - 2021 

 

As with many other couples, Emmy and Peni find themselves expecting! They were shocked to find themselves expecting another st of twins. This time, they welcomed a boy and a girl. They named them Eleanora Aoife Da Silva and Dashiell Oren Da Silva. 

 

Year 18 - 2022

 

This is the first year the children have the option to go back to school in person, as well as the first year some of the kids will experience school at all. While the family valued the time they had together, they were admittedly relieved to have a little space. Aiden is now 12 and in middle school. Luna is 8 and beginning third grade. Posey and Teddie are 7 and beginning second grade. Ellie and Dash are only one, leaving them still home with Emily. 

 

Aside from that, Emily began learning how to bake fresh bread. She favored sourdough, as did many during this time. Her wife, Peni, began learning about and engaging in foraging in local forests. 

 

Year 19 - 2023

 

Emily and Penelope are super proud of their baby, Aiden, and the immense successes he's accomplished as of late! While he still struggles in various areas, he has a passion for environmental sciences. In fact, he is so involved in local programs that he was awarded a Civic Engagement award for his environmental work! 

 

Year 20 - 2024  

 

Emily and Penelope decide to celebrate 20 years of knowing one another. They celebrate by revisiting the places they first backpacked, albeit in a more family friendly setting. They end up visiting Torres del Paine National Park in Chile. Aiden is now 14, Luna is 10, Posey and Theodora are 9, and Ellie and Dash are three.

Rachael Taylor Breslin was born on August 24, 1987. She was raised by Vaughn Walter Breslin and Jane Louise (nee Beaumont) Breslin. She grew up in Cambridge, Massachusetts and has curly black hair and blue eyes. Rachael is the second-oldest of four siblings; Preston Matthew Breslin, Cody Scott Breslin, Catelynn Elaine Breslin, and Haley Morgan Breslin.

Rachael and Anina are thrilled to see what this year has in store for them! They have thus far had three incredible vacations, a proposal, and a wedding! Rachael is turning 21 this year! First things first, they had to decide on their living situation. The couple went for a more unexpected choice for their new home--a houseboat on the southern California coast! Separately, Anina won a raffle and got tickets to watch the California Symphony Orchestra, which was a beautiful show.

 

Year 5 - 2009

 

After a single round of IVF, Rachael and Anina welcomed a beautiful baby boy on July 21, 2009! His name is Nikko Gabriel Breslin-Illingworth. He was carried by his mom Anina, and looks just like her, with curly brown hair and bright green eyes!

Adjusting to a new baby has had its challenges, including a drastically different lifestyle. The freedoms the couple enjoyed for the majority of their relationship is all but gone with parenting, careers, upkeeping a home, etc. It seemed the perfect time to take a vacation! Rachael and Anina decide to take a camping trip together for a weekend for some needed alone time and the chance to experience nature, which they always enjoy.

 

Year 7 - 2011

 

With their family growing, Rachael and Anina begin talking about upgrading their housing. They make the decision to build a new home about 45 minutes away from their current one on the dock. While they'll certainly miss the ability to take their house on adventures, Rachael and Anina feel that upgrading to more space will be best for their family in the long run.

 

Year 8 - 2012

 

This year brings financial fortune to their family! Rachael begins selling handcrafted wooden coasters on Etsy, and her business grows quickly popular! With the additional finances, Rachael and Anina make the decision to adopt a four-year-old rabbit named Eleazar! Nikko loves learning and playing with Elie!

 

Year 9 - 2013 

 

Yet another year of fortune for Rachael, Anina, and family! Rachael and Anina successfully trained and completed a half-marathon! While the process definitely tested their abilities, they feel that it brought them closer to one another as well as closer to their fitness goals. The couple wants to take their training even further and run a full marathon in the future!

 

Year 10 - 2014 

 

Sometimes, it's the small things that turn out to be the big things. Rachael and Anina made a goal this year to prioritize quality family time and they have seen a real improvement in their frustration with one another! The greatest development of the year was the birth of their second baby boy on December 27, 2014! Baby Tate Elliott Breslin-Illingworth was born with curly brown hair and green eyes, just like his brother and mama!

 

Year 11 - 2015 

 

Rachael suffers the very loss of her dad, Vaughn, this year. Rachael and Anina take this unfortunate situation as an opportunity to teach Nikko about what it means to die and how people can stay connected to their departed loved ones. Ultimately, while her dad's passing was extremely devastating for Rachael, her mom, and her siblings, she feels that it has brought them closer together.

 

Year 12 - 2016 

 

Rachael and Anina marvel at how their family has grown. They cannot believe that Nikko is now 7 and Tate is 2! Rachael and Anina decide to plan a nice summer holiday! They took the boys on a wonderful Alaskan cruise, introducing them to the beauty of glaciers and the colder weather.

 

Year 13 - 2017 

 

Rachael turns 30 this year! She celebrates by meeting up with her friends from her hometown and visiting an escape room! While they didn't make it through in time, Rachael had a wonderful time reconnecting with friends she hadn't seen in so many years. Anina and the kids also threw her a mini birthday party at home, complete with pancakes and homemade gifts, which made her day even more special.

 

Year 14 - 2018 

 

This year was a year of learning for Rachael. She learned how to crochet and quickly began making stylish clothing and accessories for the family, her friends, and her coworkers. 

 

Year 15 - 2019 

 

This year is certainly... eventful. Nikko gets a concussion after sustaining a hard fall during one of his basketball games. His injury certainly scares Rachael and Anina to their core, and it is a very difficult adjustment for the entire family. Rachael and Anina take turns taking off from work to take care of Nikko during his time off from school and it takes a lot of creativity to come up with exciting activities for him under the confinements of a concussion.

 

Year 16 - 2020 

 

As with most everyone else in the world, a global pandemic takes up most of 2020. Rachael and Anina are working from home, while Nikko and Tate take virtual classes from home as well. Naturally, this leads to a pretty drastic lifestyle change. As people who love to travel and explore, it was pretty difficult to be stuck within their home 24/7. They also had their two kids around them at all times and less support due to social distancing. Despite the craziness, Rachael does her best to both learn something productive and engage in hobbies just for fun. During the spring, Rachael takes up gardening, a mindless, but very fruitful activity that she greatly enjoys. Rachael and Anina also decide to adopt a puppy for the kids, named Bruno! They think that this is a great opportunity to give Nikko and Tate some more responsibility as they work as a family to train him.

 

Year 17 - 2021 

 

After years of fertility struggles, Rachael and Anina find themselves expecting a baby, this time with Rachael carrying! August "Gus" Drew Breslin-Illingworth is born on September 17, 2021. The spitting image of his mom, baby Gus has curly black hair and light blue eyes. The whole family is thrilled to welcome another baby boy to the world!

 

Year 18 - 2022

 

This is the first year Nikko and Tate have the option to go back to school in person. Although they initially enjoyed virtual schooling, both kids are excited to get back to school in person and to finally physically see classmates, teachers, and friends! Similarly, Rachael and Anina now both have the ability to work in-person, with Anina opting for a hybrid work schedule and Rachael continuing to work remotely. Baby Gus begins his first year at daycare as well! This year was fairly low key, but the entire family completed a 365 hours of reading challenge and Rachael learned to bake sourdough bread.

 

Year 19 - 2023

 

Nikko earns a major achievement this year! He receives the title of valedictorian at his eighth grade graduation ceremony! The entire family is very proud of such a hardworking kid and so excited to see his success as he moves forward to high school.

 

Year 20 - 2024  

 

Rachael and Anina decide to celebrate 20 years of knowing one another. They celebrate by revisiting the places they first backpacked, albeit in a more family friendly setting. Specifically, Rachael and Anina take the kids to Flamenco, Panama, a beautiful destination at which they had taken a pit stop while backpacking so many years ago. They love being able to make new memories in one of the locations that was so instrumental to building the relationship they have today!

Cassandra 'Cassie' Jasmine was born on May 4th. She was raised by Oscar 'Ozzy' Dean and Beatrice 'Bea' Rose Monroe. She grew up in California. Cassie has one sibling, named Christopher 'Chris' Jacob.

Year 1
Cassie has graduated from high school! She is now 18. Cassie worked hard during her schooling years to afford taking a year off to backpack through Europe. She isn't sure whether she'll pursue university, begin life in the workforce, or what else after she is done her adventure. She bought herself a digital camera as well as some film cameras, some quality shoes, packed her bags, and was off!

Four weeks into her adventure, Cassie crosses paths with a fellow backpacker, Matthew 'Matt' Benjamin and they hit it off! As you both planned on traveling to the same places, it worked out neatly to go together. It was exciting to engage in an undefined relationship whilst exploring these new places. They were fully living in the moment, the future could be discussed later.

Year 2
After their year of traveling came to an end, Cassie and Matt knew their story together wasn't done. However, finances were tight. They both came up with an estimate on how much money they would need for their next holiday. Cassie becomes an apprentice mechanic, whilst Matt starts working towards an Early Education degree. They start renting an apartment together.

Year 3
Cassie and Matt have finally saved up a decent fund for their holiday! This year, they planned to spend a month hiking in the Grand Canyon in Arizona, USA. Before heading out, the two decided to have a dinner together with family at a fancy restaurant. During this dinner, Matt gave a romantic and emotional speech at the end of which included a marriage proposal! Cassie whole heartedly said yes!

Their trip turned out to be even more magical than anticipated. Despite never wanting to leave, they were excited to return home and begin wedding planning. The two set a date for the end of the year. The wedding would be fairly intimate, with close family and friends invited. Naturally, the two were stoked to plan their honeymoon! While the two loved the challenges involved backpacking, they decided to enjoy a more relaxing and luxurious experience for their honeymoon, so they book a trip to Hawaii.

Year 4
Cassie and Matt are thrilled to see what this year has in store for them! They have thus far had three incredible vacations, a proposal, and a wedding! Cassie is turning 21 this year! First things first, they had to decide on their living situation. They purchase a condo and adopt a cat named Arthur.

Year 5
Cassie and Matt have a baby girl. They name her Natalia 'Talia' Margot.

Yet another year of fortune for Cassie and her family! Cassie and Matt have another baby, a girl named Amelia 'Amy' Catherine.

Year 10
Sometimes, it's the small things that turn out to be the big things. Cassie and Matt prioritised quality family time together, and found they were expecting another child. They have a boy they name William 'Will' Alexander.

Year 11
Cassie suffers a misfortune this year. Arthur gets hit by a car and has to be rushed to rushed to the vet. Thankfully he survives.

Year 12
Cassie and Matt marvel at how their family has grown. Their children are now 6 , 2 and 1. Cassie and Matt decide to plan a nice summer holiday and visit a National Park.

Year 13
This year is certainly eventful. An earthquake hits California and the house is destroyed. Cassie and Matt decide to rebuild.

Year 14
Cassie decides to do something she's always wanted to, and learns to play piano.

Year 15
Cassie turns 30 and decides to take a family vacation to Disneyland.

Year 16
As with most everyone else in the world, a global pandemic takes up most of 2020. Cassie is social distancing at work, but Matt is teaching via Zoom and the children are attending virtual classes from home too. Naturally, this leads to a pretty drastic lifestyle change. As people who love to travel and explore, it was pretty difficult to be stuck within their home 24/7. Their children are now 10, 6 and 5. Cassie does her best to both learn something productive and engage in hobbies just for fun, so Cassie and Amy take up baking, whilst Matt, Talia and Will take up roller skating.

Year 17
As with many other couples, Cassie and Matt find themselves expecting a baby! The whole family is thrilled to welcome another baby to the family! They have a boy who they call Nicholas 'Nick' Henry.

Year 18
This is the first year the children have the option to go back to school in person, and the first year at all for Will. Talia and Amy settle back in quickly, but Will has some anxiety issues at first. Family board games become a regular household activity and Cassie completes a reading challenge.

Year 19
One of your children earn a major achievement this year! Talia wins an Athletic Award for swimming.

Year 20
Cassie and Matt decide to celebrate 20 years of knowing one another. They celebrate by revisiting the places they first backpacked, albeit in a more family friendly setting. They go to Munich, Germany, where they first met.

Hallie and Caspar are thrilled to see what this year has in store for them! They have thus far had three incredible vacations, a proposal, and a wedding! Hallie is turning 21 this year! First things first, they had to decide on their living situation. They decide to purchase a condo together, and find one they like close to their current rented apartment in Chesterfield. Hallie and Caspar also begin volunteering at a local pet shelter.

Hallie and Caspar welcome a baby boy, Felix Hugo Duncan.

 

Year 6 (2010)

With their family growing, Hallie and Caspar begin talking about upgrading their housing. They decide to purchase a new home, one with more space for their growing son. They find a great 3 bedroom house with a large garden, perfect for their little family's needs.

 

Year 8 (2012)

This year brings financial fortune to their family! Hallie accepts a job offer which comes with significantly better pay. Hallie and Caspar decide to adopt a pet, and find a pretty female Macaw at the pet shelter where they volunteer. Her name is Didyme, but they call her Didi.

 

Year 9 (2013)

Yet another year of fortune for Hallie and her family! Caspar starts learning to play the piano, and gets pretty good at it.

 

Year 10 (2014)

Sometimes, it's the small things that turn out to be the big things. What is something relatively small that happened this year that Hallie really enjoyed? She started meditating to help manage her emotions. Nothing big happened this year.

 

Year 11 (2015)

Hallie suffers a misfortune this year. Didi became very unwell and had to stay at the veterinary surgery for a week. Hallie and Caspar were very worried for her, but she pulled through and seems to be back to normal.

 

Year 12 (2016)

Hallie and Caspar marvel at how their family has grown. Felix is now 6. They decide to plan a nice summer holiday! They pick a beautiful cruise around the Norwegian fjords.

 

Year 13 (2017)

This year is certainly... eventful. Felix falls out of a tree while playing with friends at the park. He breaks both of his arms, and spends some time in casts. Hallie and Caspar are relieved that he wasn't hurt worse, and keep him close during his healing time. Felix vows to never climb trees again.

 

Year 14 (2018)

This year was a year of learning for Hallie. She learned how to crochet, and spent a lot of time making cute stuffed animals, blankets, and cushion covers to decorate their home with.

 

Year 15 (2019)

Hallie turns 30! She gets a tattoo on her upper left arm, a vibrant floral design with flowers from where she and Caspar first met.

 

Year 16 (2020)

As with most everyone else in the world, a global pandemic takes up most of 2020. As a paramedic, Hallie is an essential worker during this time, and keeps working as normal. Felix is attending virtual classes from home or else home educating, with Caspar there to help out. Naturally, this leads to a pretty drastic lifestyle change. As people who love to travel and explore, it was pretty difficult to be stuck within their home 24/7. They also had a child around them at all times and less support due to social distancing. Felix is now 10. Hallie does her best to both learn something productive and engage in hobbies just for fun. The whole family decide to try and learn to play the guitar together, which is a lot of fun, although Felix shows the most talent and picks it up much easier than his parents. Hallie takes up whittling as a personal hobby, and enjoys making little trinkets to give away to family and friends.

 

Year 17 (2021)

As with many other couples, Hallie and Caspar find themselves expecting a baby! The whole family is thrilled to welcome another baby to the family, especially Felix, who has been begging for a younger sibling for a few years now! They are shocked to discover they'll be welcoming twin boys, and decide to name them Wesley Malcolm Duncan and Jay Michael Duncan.

 

Year 18 (2022)

This is the first year Felix has the option to go back to school in person. He enjoyed virtual school, especially after his brothers arrived and he could spend a lot of time with them, but he's excited to get back to school with his friends. Caspar gets really into bird watching, and sets up lots of feeders and bird houses in the garden. The whole family enjoys doing trivia together, and enters a few contests.

 

Year 19 (2023)

Felix was accepted into the prestigious "Minority Introduction to Engineering and Science" summer program at MIT. Hallie and Caspar are so proud of him, and take him for a special celebration dinner at his favourite restaurant. Wesley and Jay don't understand what's going on, but they give Felix lots of hugs when he tells them.

 

Year 20 (2024)

Hallie and Caspar decide to celebrate 20 years of knowing one another. They celebrate by revisiting the places they first backpacked, albeit in a more family friendly setting. Kashgar, China, is just as great as they remember it, and they enjoy introducing their sons to one of the places they visited as lovestruck teenagers.
