Recently, I finally got around to reading Aldous Huxley's Brave New World. In the book, everyone's name is chosen from a bank of 10,000 names. This peaked my curiousity, so I decided to search for as many of these names as I could in the book. Here's what I found.

Thanks for sharing, this is so interesting! Of the girls' names, I really like Morgana and Clara! Of the boys' names, I like Calvin the most! Surname wise, Rothschild and Habibullah really speak to me - I have a penchant for longer surnames :)

I've never heard of such a thing in my life! I'll have to check this author and his books out sometime. I am intrigued. I like Clara, Calvin, Henry & George. My students have surprisingly had quite a few of these surnames - Marx, Hoover, Shaw, Jones & Mellon. They are probably some of the most common of them all. Interesting! Thanks!
