I cannot get this name out of my mind, so of course it means I have to pay a visit here <_<

A while ago I made a post about liking the nickname Ren for Karen, which I still might consider, but I'm kind of just like it as a stand alone name now--now for the questions:

How would you spell it? (Ren/Wren/other?)
Middle names?
And most importantly, what do you think of it?

Thanks <_<

I think I prefer Wren over Ren. My first mentally image of Ren is a anime boy with blue hair. Plus, the baby girl in Baby Blues is a named Wren. Though, Ren was also the name of the sister in Even Stevens. LOL. I went to school with a girl with the last name Wren and it's a bird in the southwest (cactus wren). But, overall, I prefer Wren.

A few middle names that come to mind are:

Wren Sophia
Wren Elizabeth
Wren Alexandra

I think it's a cute name. I wouldn't use it personally because I have so much associations with it.

I would spell it Wren <_< Because I think it looks more complete as a name. Plus Wren is a type of bird, if I'm not mistaken? Ren looks more like a nick name... an I agree with Ash about it sounding like an anime characters name haha.

Its a pretty name however you spell it though! <_<

I love Ren and Wren, but I would personally spell it Wren as a stand alone name and Ren as a nickname. <_<
Wren feels more feminine to me, whereas Ren as a first name on it's own, seems a tad masculine. Kind of like the difference between Gail and Gale.
Liking the idea of using it as a nickname for Karen, though you could also use it for Katherine like you suggested before.

There's also Florence, Renee, Brenna, Serena, Irene, Lauren, Regan, Rhiannon and maybe even Veronica or other "-ron" names.

What do I think of it? I love it. And I agree with Ashley, I think of the bird. But since it's a cute little adorable birdy... it's great!
Ren, however, apparently means "Water lily"! But both are good associations.

Here's a few middle name ideas:
Ren Lydia
Ren Elisabeth
Ren Abigail
Ren Charlotte
Ren Delia
Ren Alexandra
Ren Olivia
Ren Jessica
Ren Danielle
Ren Amelia
Ren Katherine
Ren Lillian

Thank you so much everyone! Wren is really growing on me--spelling and all. The combos I like:

Wren Juliet
Wren Elisabeth
Wren Alexandra
Wren Olivia
Wren Evelyn
Wren Stephanie
Wren Louise
Wren Meredith
Wren Eloise
Wren Miriam
Wren Bethany
Wren Lucille

As you all know, Rose is one of my favorite names, and I think Wren and Rose would make such a cute sibet. Wren Eloise and Rose Juliet, perhaps. Ok can I just have twin girls right now? <_<
