I've liked the name Rue way before the Hunger Games. In fact it first started showing up on my name lists when I was in middle school (about 12 years ago). However it has never been anything more than a guilty pleasure. I also have True on my list which I've always found a tad more wearable. But I'm starting to rethink using Rue. My main issue is that I've never been able to find a middle name that I love with Rue. Rue Mackenzie sounds nice but I'm not a huge fan of Mackenzie. But I would like something that is kind of similar...three syllables, with lots of consonants and matches the style of Rue. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

I love Rue. I'm still reading "The Hunger Games", but I'm growing very fond of it. Don't you just hate it when a name you love that is pretty unheard of suddenly becomes so popular?
I've thought of doing Ruth nn Rue, but Ruth is just so short on it's own, that I don't think it works.

Here's a few ideas:
Rue Madeline
Rue Adelaide
Rue Imogen
Rue Delia
Rue Guinevere
Rue Nicoline
Rue Andrea
Rue Cassidy
Rue Lizabeth
Rue Juliet
Rue Amity
Rue Christabel
Rue Susannah
Rue Agatha
Rue Sabina
Rue Coraline
Rue Tabitha
Rue Miriam
Rue Lillia
Rue Anniston
Rue Josephine
Rue Luciana
Rue Ginevra
Rue Cicely
Rue Marion

Rue Odessa
Rue Angelique
Rue Gwendolyn
Rue Adrienne
Rue Bethany
Rue Nadia
Rue Joanna
Rue Delphia
Rue Augusta
Rue Clementine
Rue Marilyn
Rue Genevie
Rue Alana
Rue Naomi
Rue Viola
Rue Camilla
Rue Teresa
Rue Deirdre
Rue Jessamine
Rue Emilie
Rue Alexa
Rue Celia
Rue Nicolette
Rue Ophelia
Rue Eloise
Rue Lavender
Rue Cassandra
Rue Selena
Rue Francesca
Rue Azalea
Rue Delilah
Rue Celeste
Rue Saoirse
Rue Lorelei
Rue Juniper
Rue Amelie
Rue Monica
Rue Waverly
Rue Elodie
Rue Julianne
Rue Alison
Rue Katherine
Rue Isobel
Rue Evelyn
Rue Sophia
Rue Tallulah
Rue Olivia
Rue Anneliese
Rue Matilda
Rue Eleanor
Rue Lillian
Rue Seraphine
Rue Emerson
Rue Liberty
Rue Genevieve
Rue Addison

Rue Sylvia
Rue Meredith
Rue Bellamy
Rue Caroline
Rue Lydia
Rue Beatrice
Rue Helena
Rue Marianne
Rue Vivian
Rue Adeline
Rue Margaret
Rue Diana
Rue Antonia

And I personally like Rue Alice, Rue Charlotte or Rue Daphne.

Also, I've found that it works very well with a name ending in a silent "e" or another sound other than "ah". {Madeline, Adelaide etc.}
If that makes sense.

Why thank you?!
I try.. but you're style is so interesting that I never feel I can get it quite right!

My favourites off that list are Rue Lizabeth, Rue Agatha, Rue Caroline, Rue Marianne, Rue Vivian and Rue Charlotte.

The only reason I would vote against Augustine is because as feminine as it sounds, it still makes me think "Boy!".
And Rue, although very sweet, could still work on a little boy. Hence I think it's best paired with a much more obviously feminine middle name to complement it's tom-boy charm.

Livianne is NMS, but it's got a nice flow and works well with it!
What about:

Rue Liesel
Rue Lavinia
Rue Lilibeth
Rue Luciana
Rue Lilac
Rue Lenore
Rue Laurent
Rue Lynette
Rue Liesel
Rue Lillith
Rue Lexia
Rue Lucille
Rue Leonora
Rue Lysandra
Rue Livia
Rue Lindsey
Rue Lynette
Rue Laverne
Rue Lucinda
Rue Laurence
Rue Linnea
Rue Leandra

OR

Rue Agnes
Rue Annette
Rue Alicie
Rue Anastasia
Rue Alouette
Rue Avril
Rue Adair
Rue Antoinette
Rue Adele
Rue Amalia
Rue Ayla
Rue Audris
Rue Adelais
Rue Aine
Rue Adalia
Rue Astrid
Rue Anais
Rue Adleigh
Rue Amber
Rue Alessandra
Rue Amandine
Rue Angelica
Rue Audrey
Rue Ava
Rue Althea
Rue Auden
Rue Alaina
Rue Aubrey
Rue Anelle
Rue Ada
Rue Avis
Rue Athena

Rue Primrose or Rue Katniss anyone? :(
Also, Katie, if you like Rue, you might like Wren?

Thanks again, Yas.

I'm really liking Augustine in the middle name spot but I agree with you, I'm not sure it fits well with Rue...

My 'style' as you put it is so hit and miss even I can't predict or understand why I like certain names over others :(

I REALLY like ...

Rue Lenore
Rue Lysandra
Rue Alessandra
Rue Amadine

& I can't believe I didn't think of Rue Laurence, but like you said Rue probably needs something more obviously feminine in the middle name spot.

As for Wren...I love the name Wren but two of my friends recently used it...Wren Elizabeth was born in January and Katheryn "Ryn" Laurel was born in December. :(

Rue Amandine and Rue Lenore are my favourites. Though the other two flow really well, IMHO.
Mm, you're probably right about Laurence. What about Laurel, Lorraine or Loren? That being said, Lenore is a nice alternative.

That's a shame, but those are two beautiful names! :(

I'm thinking Rue Lenore (or maybe Lynore/Lynnore after my mom's middle name Lynn? :\) & Rue Alessandra are my favorites at the moment...though I also really like Rue Delilah, Rue Matilda & Rue Caroline.

I think the pronunciation of Lenore is enough to be connected to Lynn without having to change the spelling.
Rue Alessandra is also lovely. It has an almost... "rustic" feel to it?

Glad I could help! :(
