We're team blue and really struggling over here on South Asian/Indian boy names. I think we've narrowed it down to Sajan (pronounced Sah-jun, meaning "beloved) or Ayan (pronounced Ay-un (long "a", like "Aiden" without the "d"), meaning path of light).

Thoughts/votes? If you could add why you're voting the way you are, that would be great. Much appreciated, thanks!

Hi, congratulations!
I think both names are amazing! I love Sajan's meaning. It sounds like a very powerful name. Ayan is a soft-sounding name. I think it is a sweet name for a boy. Ayan's meaning is enchanting! I believe the names Sajan and Ayan are both very easy to pronounce, but Ayan is probably the easiest one.
It's an hard choice! Today, I pick Sajan because I adore the name's strong sound.

Good luck!

Hello!

Just by looking at the name Ayan,

I can pronounce it the way it is supposed to be said.

I think Sajan will be mispronounced by many.

I have a name that people frequently pronounce inaccurately.

I'm the opposite, I can see Ayan getting mispronounced more than Sajan!

I'd still go for Sajan, even without the above consideration. I love the sound and how it looks and it has a beautiful meaning. It reminds me a little of one of my favourite names which is Sachin but I couldn't really use it as I feel it'd be strange on a child with no Indian heritage.

Both are great! I would lean toward Ayan. I agree that it is easier to pronounce and say. Very handsome!
