We are having a girl, and are having trouble agreeing on a name. I like unique names (although my favorite so far is Ava, not too unique) and he loves classic names. I also like the idea of giving a girl a unisex name (ie Rian) but he hates it. He has already vetoed both of those. What do we do?!?
Last name is Elliott.
How do we compromise?

What about Anya (AHN yuh)? It is a variant of the classic name Anna but with a modern twist. Or maybe Eva which is a more classic alternative to Ava?
You say he likes classic names? Can you give us some examples of names he likes?
My advice to you would be to find something in the middle, try finding an underused classic that you can agree on.

How about naming her Alexandra, but calling her Alex?
