Will and Isa met while Will was traveling in Mexico for a family vacation. Isabella had been working at a hotel bar as a waitress when she and Will crossed paths. Isa found Will very attractive and loved seeing how close he and his family were. She decided to leave her number with him after many days of seeing him and his family and he reached out! Isa and Will had assumed it'd be a short term fling -  and while they had exchanged info to contact one another, they had both assumed things would fizzle out with the distance. Both Will and Isa had family that ranged from different parts of the world after all. Will's family lived in Ireland, England, and the USA. Isa had family both in Mexico and North Africa. Will and Isa had hit it off amazingly though! So when Isa called Will to let him know she was pregnant, Will put his best forward to be there for her and their child. 

 

Will and Isa had a beautiful wedding in Mexico a few months before their baby was due! Friends and family from around the world were able to come together to celebrate their love. While there were some major adjustments in their quick marriage, moving in, and preparing for parenthood, Will and Isa were committed to doing their best to both honor themselves and get to know one another even better to assure what they were doing was best. The more they delved into themselves and getting to know each other, they found they got along amazingly! They had many common interests and passions. They were both passionate about personal growth, social justice, and a slew of other things that added to a healthy and wonderful relationship. 

 

After their wedding, they moved in together at Will's grandmothers house. Will's grandmother, Niamh, was elderly and struggling to meet her needs, especially since her husband, Wills grandfather, had passed away. Will was in university still in addition to working full time but thankfully Niamh had an adequate retirement fund and such that met all her needs and wants. Isa was able to stay home and care full time for Niamh in addition to preparing to be a stay at home parent. 

 

They were over the moon when their first daughter arrived! Choosing a meaningful name was important to both Will and Isa. Will's names honor both his grandfathers. Isabella's name is honoring too, with her paternal grandfathers name being Issa, Noor being her paternal grandmothers name, and her mama, abuela, bisabuela, and tatara abuela being named Elena, Zarela, Gabriela, and Estrella respectively (all containing the "elle" sound, as Isabella does too). They loved that the name Elizabeth shared that elle sound, had the "is" sound like Isa and her grandfather have. Then they choose Niamh as Elizabeth's middle name to honor Will's Grandmother, whom Isa had also grown very close to whilst living together. 

 

Will and Isa were in love with the life they were living! Baby Elle was an absolute sweetie. Niamh was a joy to live with. Will and Isa were overjoyed when they conceived a second child! They chose her name to honor Will's mother, Catherine, and Mabel honored Will's other grandmother who had unfortunately already passed away. As challenging as having two little ones so close in age was, the bond they shared was a joy to watch. When Isa brought up trying for baby #3 when Catie was still a baby, Will was a bit taken aback but in love with the idea. They welcomed a third daughter by the end of that year! They chose Gwen's name to honor Will's aunt with the Lynn honoring Isa's best friend, Linishka. They chose her middle name, Jane, to honor Isa's aunt Janan. 

 

Having three kids under three, a strenuous university degree in the works, a full time job, an elderly grandmother to care for, in addition to the every day demands of life kept Will and Isa very busy! Isa got an IUD placed, as while they loved the idea of a large family, Will was beginning to write his doctoral thesis so he got earn his PhD and finish up with his education! His dream to teach History in a university was coming closer and closer within reach! Not long after he had graduated, Isa learned that her IUD had shifted and she was expecting their fourth child. Will and Isa were nervous but excited to meet their new baby. They were shocked to learn that they were having a son! After three daughters, they had been comfortable in their life as the parents of girls but welcomed their soon with equal excitement and joy. They chose the name Michael Suleiman, with Michael having been a favorite of Will's for so many years in addition to it tying in with Isa's uncle Miguel and Suleiman honored Isa's Papa.

 

Elle, Catie, and Gwen were 4, 3, and 2 respectively when Michael was born. Elle and Catie were in preschool programs now, which was a relief for Isa! Having some time during the day with less kids at home made a major difference! Will adjusted wonderfully to his teaching job, grateful to have a bit more time with his family now that he wasn't both working and taking courses. 

 

Isa decided to use the birth control pill this time around, in hopes that she wouldn't unknowingly conceive again. While she did hope to have one more child some time, she was exhausted! And her body had gone through a lot to have four kids in five years. In an unfortunate turn of events, Isa hadn't been told that the antibiotic she'd been prescribed would lower the effectiveness of her birth control. She was shocked to learn she was pregnant again! No less, with twins! This time around, Will and Isa made plans with her care team to have her tubes tied after birthing the twins. They welcomed their two little girls, Dottie and Millie! They chose Dorothea as a feminine variation of Theodore, honoring both Will and his grandfather. The middle name, Autumn, honored their favorite time of year in addition to a wonderful memory they cherished together of dates they had during that time of year. Amelia felt has if it honored two very important people in Isa's life, her uncle Amir whom she shared many wonderful times with and her brother Emiliano who passed away in due to an illness in his childhood. Isa and Emiliano had been very close despite how much of Emiliano's life had been in the hospital fighting cancer. They chose her middle name, Dove, loving the symbolism associated to them (peace, freedom, and love). 

 

Isa was thankful most of her kids were in school when the twins arrived. Despite her experience with having her older kids so close together, it's still a different experience to have two that are the same age! Elle was in first grade, Cate was in kindergarten, and Gwen was in preschool. Isa ended up enrolling Michael in daycare part time to help ease up how much responsibilities she was juggling at the time. Niamh was an amazing person to spend time with but her needs were definitely increasing as time went on. Isa and Will were grateful the kids got to know their great grandmother so well! She unfortunately passed away by the time the twins were 4 years old (with Elle being 10, Catie being 9, Gwen being 8, and Michael being 6). It was so hard for the entire family to lose her. 

 

Not long after Dottie and Millie began school themselves, Isa decided to pursue a degree of her own. She found it to be comforting to pursue an interest now that she no longer had Niamh to talk to all day and had time when the kids were at school to lean into her own needs. She had enjoyed herping with the kids over the years, searching for snakes and reptiles of all sorts. And while that was nice, she had dreamed of the idea of being a librarian since she was a small child. Will encouraged Isa to pursue it and she ended up so thankful that he nudged her to do so! Will was comfortable in his career by this time and was able to help far more with childcare and house care than he ever had in the past. 

 

Now, so many years later, Will and Isa are absolutely amazed and so full of love and joy at how their family has grown. Will's career as a History professor continued to be great. Isa has been settled in to her librarian job for many years now. They have a garden that Will loves to tend to. Isa and Catie find themselves enjoying nature walks where Isa searches for reptiles and Catie searches for mushrooms, as she is fascinated in mycology. Elle is a talented artist and loves to draw! She pursued a degree to be a veterinarian and is loving her career choice. Cate has a degree in engineering and loves it. Gwen is pursuing a career as a Social Worker, passionate to help her community, though she loves to swim on her down time. Michael, Dottie, and Millie are all still in high school but it feels as if they'll blink and find them grown too!
