...that I adore the name

Jean-Luc.

I think it would be SO handsome on a boy, but, because I don't think it works with my other boys, I will probably save it for a pet (so my pet can be named after Captain Jean-Luc Picard).

Soooo lovely. :)

Mm. I love Luc spelt this way. :)

Jean is an iffy one with me. My mum's 'distant' family has a few "Jean-"s, but it never appealed to me.
It just has a very feminine feel to me, much like Jane or June which puts me off it for a boy.

Jean-Luc is rather lovely, but just not for me.
There's also Jean-Paul, Jean-Claude, Jean-Pierre etc.

You could always call him John Luc. I think Henry, Eric, Robert, Carl and John work fine!
Though, your Jon's name might be a bit close to that.
But there are always nickname options to sort that problem.

I'm not a big fan of John or Luke, but Jean is haandsome, and Luc spelled this way is far superior to Luke :) or at least in my opinion! But your kinda right, I suppose it doesn't fit in so well with the old fashioned english traditional names. Jean-Luc is very, VERY french :( haha! But it'd definitely make a wonderful pet name! <3 And haha, Captian Picard! :(

Hee hee. It's very French indeed.
Probably going to use it for a pet. I'm already using Jonathan as Carl's middle name, so John Luc wouldn't really work. =/
Though it is adorable. :)

Oh, yeah, Jean-Luc and Carl Jonathan wouldn't work at all :/

John Luc is a good idea otherwise though... oh well! If Carl doesn't end up going over with Jon... :)

Haha, Carl was Jon's suggestion! It's his great grandfather's name. LOL. :)

I actually know someone called John-Luc. At first I thought it was a bit... odd, but now I think it suits him.
