Rye variations...

1. Is it fine for me to still love the name even if it makes me feel so guilty?
I mean, I feel guilty from my lying with this name and all... but I do love it none the less! I might just keep it as a GP, but yeah <3 It feels like Ryan/Riley would work so well, cause my bff's nick name is Rye (though her name is Celina) and I've thought of using Celina to honor her, but I can't seem to fit it in :/ And I love those two names... so yeah <3 WDYT?
2. Is Ryan wayyyy to unisex?
I honestly did meet one girl named Ryan, though I didn't ask her about her name or anything. I kinda wish I did, so I could have learned whether she ever had a hard time with it. Because it is a pretty popular boys name... but that doesn't change anything in my mind. Plus, I've thought of using Ryan on a boy, and I don't like it. When I hear Ryan... I just don't like how it looks on a boy at all :/ Can't explain it :/ I've thought of Riley as an alternitive (and I refuse to spell it "more girly like", cause Riley is the only spelling I like. No Rylee, Rylie, Rilie, Ryley, etc. I like original spellings Same with Ryan, I feel Ryann looks lopsided and I would pronounce it Ry-Ann like that, not ry-en). Though I also feel guilty using Riley seeing as my sister likes it a lot.. but I don't think it's a problem, cause she's only twelve and likely to have a change in name taste and Riley/Ryan I'd only use after Kate, Genevieve, etc I think <3. Idk, is everything above nonsense lol?
3. Other?
Any other opinions, I'm open! I'm trying to be open minded and all, and I'm completely open to any input! I'm still thinking of middle names. I got a few:
Ryan Elisabeth
Ryan Maeve / Maeve Ryan
Ryan Josephine
Ryan Aubrey / Aubrey Ryan
Riley Jane
Riley Olivia
Riley Juliet
I'm open to middle name/ first name opinions... but, I'm more interested in the above stuff.
Thanks so much! <3

Ryann (with the extra n) is cute for a girl. For a boy it is very blah and dated, but for a girl it is fresh and new!!!! Plus I think the nn Rye is cute too.
To answer your question ... If you love it use it... I wouldn't worry about some thing as little as a lie you once told when you were younger (Assuming you'll be much older when you have kids Eh-hmm!!!)
I've actually met a girl named Ryan as well. She was in my Spanish class in college but I never really talked to her to ask her how she liked her name. But she was a girly girl sorority type so I dont think her unisex name hurt her very much
I like both Ryan Elizabeth & Ryan Aubrey (I like Aubrey just a tad bit more )

I dislike all the different spellings though :/ Like, every time I see Ryann, it feels lop sided in my mind, almost like if you spell Ashlynn/Karenn/Aidenn, etc with an extra N, if you know what I mean? Lol, basically if Ryan has an extra N it looks like any other name that ends in N having an extra. And Ryanne definitely looks like Ry-Anne. Also, I'm a firm believer in the spelling isn't what makes a name "more feminine" because it's pronounced the same :/ Besides the exception of a name like Aaron/Erin, changing a spelling to make it more feminine bothers me </3 Like Ashtyn instead of Ashton, etc.
Tehehe, no worries Katie!!! At LEAST five years until kiddo's are expected! <3
The Ryan I met I didn't talk to much. I just met her at a playground while I was supervising my cousin playing and all. She was older than him, but not much. Like, maybe 8 or 9. Haha, I would assume not if she's all girly and all!
I think Ryan Aubrey is my fav at this moment, though I love Aubrey haha! <3 Aubrey Ryan doesn't flow half as well... and I'm unsure if I want Ryan as a first name or middle name <3

Hmm... I LOVE both names [Ryan and Riley]
Although I have always seen them on Boys... my cousin got engaged [today! :D] too a lovely guy named Ryan.. soo
It works unisex though, I mean as long as you gave her a more girly middle name then it should be just fine.
I do prefer the original spelling of Ryan, no matter what sex you use it on
Aubrey Ryan is super cute!! <3
As is, Riley Juliet and Riley Olivia.

And Riley Juliet as well!!! seems so feminine with Ryan and flows well I think <3 I think I like Aubrey Ryan best! Cause oddly enough, I see Riley as a bit more manly and Ryan as more feminine LOL!
Thanks so much Ash!! <3

Riley for a girl, is fine. I like it on both a boy and girl.
Aubrey Ryan is really cute, and so are pretty much all of your middle name options. Rye is really cute on a girl, the Ryan I know sometimes goes by "Ry Ry".
I don't think Ryann or Ryanne is as nice as Ryan, so if you like Ryan/Riley -- I say it's fine! Good luck and don't worry too much, I'm sure you'll pick the perfect name(s) for your future baby(babies)!
