Just started helping out with a CCD class for 6-9 year olds, and one of the little girls in my class if called Macrina (muh-CREE-nuh) I've never heard it before, and I cannot decide how if I like it or not. It has a certain charm, but I think it's the hard "C" sound in the middle that I'm not liking so much...
WDYT?
Other kids in my class:
Parker
Carter
Natalie
Rachel
Lizzie
Samantha
Nico
Collin
Siena
Morgan
I love Siena, though I would prefer it spelt Sienna, and I also like Carter, Nico, and Natalie.

Macrina kinda sounds nice, almost in the way Marina does. Though, I don't particularly care for the C sound in it!
I think their all nice, really For the most part, all familiar names. The only other one I don't care for is Lizzie, cause one, I think it sounds odd lol. But it also sounds too nick name-like to be a full name :L

Sadly, I love the nn Mac for a girl (blame Veronica Mars). I also like Rin and Rina for nicknames. However, I'm not fond of the sound of Macrina. I think the hard 'c' sound next to the very feminine ending just feels off somehow.
