I've been falling for the name Bridget for a few months, and wanted some opinions on it. I have a few questions, so here we go! :P

1. What is your opinion on the name Bridget? Is it too dated, or would it sound alright on a baby nowadays?

2. Do you think that the nickname Birdie works for Bridget? I saw it on Nameberry, and fell in love.

3. What middle names would you suggest to go with Bridget?

Thanks in advance wonderful namers :)

1. Bridget is a lovely all time classic which works BEAUTIFULLY for any age!! I don't think classics are ever dated.

2. Birdie is a delightful nickname which works really well for Bridget!! :) It reminds me of one of my very favourite Girls' Names Beatrice and the GORGEOUS nickname Bea!! :D A similar sweet feel and sound!! <3

3.

Bridget Emma Adelaide

Bridget Margaret Grace (I love this one because it honours both your names!)

Bridget Hannah Pearl (I love this one because it honours both your names!)

I am crushing on the name Bridget, I think it would fit perfectly with the names being used today! I'm not sure if I'd use it personally though, I might just love it on someone elses kiddo. But I can totally picture a group of kids on the playground being named "Charlotte, Lily... and Bridget". It sounds great <3 I think Birdie works perfectly as a nick name for Bridget.

From the suggestions you already like, I think Bridget Rosemary, Bridget Eloise, Bridget Mae, and Bridget Annika are soooo gorgeous! Here's some suggestions...

Bridget Marley

Bridget Nora

Bridget Cassidy

Bridget Thalia

Bridget Quinn

Bridget Sarah

Bridget Faye

Bridget Lily

Bridget Caroline

Hope these help!

Thank you Remy! I think we have similar styles lol, we seem to like a lot of the same names.

From your suggestions I like Bridget Nora, Bridget Thalia, Bridget Faye, and Bridget Caroline.

I asked Graeme about Bridget, and he said 'not great, but not bad' which is not helpful lol. He said Birdie reminded him of an old lady though, but when I mentioned how sweet I thought Bo and Birdie was, he said 'true' lol, so he could come around :)

I will get around to updating my list one day, but for now I'll just ponder a little more :)

I think we do too, I always like your lists  ^_^

I'm glad you like so many! And I'm glad Graeme came around :) I can see how Birdie might seem more... elderly, but not to a fault. Its not stuck in the past imo, its one that could reemerge :D Hehe Bo and Birdie would be cute, I like :P

Thats half the fun of baby names, pondering away :) I do that a lot tbh. I feel like I post topics then ponder on the results for a while <3
