What I remember is, when my mom was pregnant with my little sister seven years ago, I adored the named Giulia {prn. like Julia}.
I begged and begged my mom to name the baby that, but she wouldn't budge. Now, I am thankful she didn't.
While I still quite like the name, it is not even on my list anymore. And frankly, it's one of the most popular names in Italy, while the name she chose for my sister is more unique, just like mine and my other sister's.

and Stephen and Kai for boys.

Sally
Sally isn't silly...Its my sister's name. Though it is a bit old fashioned, it fits her. She is named after my mother's great-grandmother who played a big role in her life.
As for my names back in the day....
Girls I liked names that could be shortened to boys names...
Alexis Kate (Kate after me) nn Alex
Samantha nn Sam
For boys I used to like J names....James, Jacob, Jeremy, Jesse...

My names haven't changed too drastically to be honest.

I also liked Joey and Teddi for girls for a long time, and I still like them, only as nicknames.
For boys I loved the names Diego and Bernardo (from Zorro! LOL)

Honestly, I never really thought about boys names, because all my dolls and such were girls. Haha.

When I was five, I was obsessed with the name Blanca (idk if that even is a name ) after a shark I saw in a zoo.

Andrea, etc.
I also liked a few that I like now, like Sabrina, Simon, any name that can be shortened to Kate, and Wesley.
However I doubt I ever thought of my kids' actual names back then. Just hadn't encountered them maybe?

Blanca means "White" in spanish.
I knew that (I've been taking Spanish since I was six), I just didn't know if people use it as a name.

According to babynamesworld.com....
http://babynamesworl..._of_Blanca.html
It has been used as a girls first name since 1940s and was ranked its highest (#397) in 1990, since then it has seen a decline in popularity.
