Hi!
Orin is definitely staying as the brother in this sibset. WDYT of Selah as a sister? (selah is said Seh-lah, not see-luh) I'm open to names to replace hers, if you have suggestions
Thanks!

To me, Orin is a girls name and Selah is a boys name..
At least that's because the people I know with those names are!
Oren {again, to me} is a boys name...
I think they go very nicely together, very complimentary. ♥

Other than the fact that a lot of people may pron. it SEE lah (that was my assumption). Its a great sib set. They are both very uncommon names without being weird and they have the same sort of exotic & old feel about them.

Really Yas? I've met people with the opposite! Maybe it's just different pats of the world? Then again, Emerson is becoming a girls name.... Next thing we know Alexander with be Trendy for baby girls!
Thanks Katie! That's exactly the vibe I was going for!

LOVE, especially Orin!!!! And I didn't have any problems with pron. Selah, but I have seen/heard it before. I really like the sibset!

Well, as far as I know anyway, in Israel it's like that.
All the Selah's I know are boys and I think I know only one Orin and she's a girl.
There's also Or & Ori {Both usually used on boys, but a lot of Israeli names are unisex} and Orit {Definitely a girl name}. Then there's Oren {A type of tree} which as far as I know again, is a masculine name.
But I guess it's different!
Like Sasha in Russia is a boy name {right?}, but in countries like England, it's all girl. ♥

My son is Orin Thomas nn Ori so obviously I love it. Selah is ok but I would pronounce it See lah and I'm not sure how it flows with Orin
