Boy, do i need your expert naming advice!

We don't know if we are having a boy or girl for our second due 1/28, but we named my son Callan and both myself and my husband have c names: Christopher and Catherine. We even have a c last name(Casey) At first, it was cute. Now it's annoying. I feel very tied to c because I worry that my child will feel left out.

The bad thing is that my friends have taken all the c names we like. We are incredibly stuck.

My question is: do you think it's important to stick with c? What would you tell your child if not? If you think it is important, can you help me think of c names that are not these below:

Charlotte
Claire
Cora

Connor

And of course, anything sounding too much like "Cal" or "Callan" or ending in "y" as I think that sounds bad with Casey.

Help!!

I can understand your dilemma. It may seem like you have worked yourself into a "C" corner.

It may be difficult but if you can find another C name that you love and works well with your names, then by all means use it. If not, then I think it would be perfectly acceptable for you to move on to another letter of the alphabet. Maybe you could pick another initial that is just as meaningful. Maybe you could use the first letter of your maiden name or you could also go with you or your husband's middle initial, or even your sons.

Also, are you planning on having another child after this one? If you are, you may want to let that factor in your decision. If you are able to find another C name, would you feel forced to find a C name for a third child?

I think Katie said it very well and puppylover has given a lot of options. Do you have another initial you would like help with? Good luck!

I don't think you have to choose another C name. Especially if you don't like any. I'm not a fan of 'traditions' in naming, because you may end up choosing a name you're not that fond of, but because it 'fits'.

Choose whatever names you like :D
