We have 17 month old twin boys and are expecting a girl in March 2009! The boys names are:

Truman Alexander
Spencer Aaron

I really like the name Charlotte but I believe it is about to explode in popularity. It is ranked at 100 or so right now, but it has been in the top ten for name searches at Nymbler all year. I'm thinking of using it as a middle name. As you can see, I used more popular names that I really liked as middle names for my twins.

I really want a name that goes well with Truman and Spencer. Other names I like: Annabelle, Annika, Eleanor, Beatrix. I also like Lola, but I think our last name (Olay) has too many vowels for that one!

Any suggestions?

Well, your boy names are great, but I don't like any of your girl names as first names. Anabelle doesn't seem to age well, Annika isn't very feminine sounding, eleanor & Beatrix are so elderly.

I really like Charlotte and I think it sounds great with your other names! Charlotte Anabelle is cute!

I tried to respond to my own topic and it made me register!

I do like Charlotte a lot, but I worry it is too popular or will become too popular soon. Are there any suggestions of names that are similar to Charlotte but not quite as popular? I guess I'm looking for kind of "English" sounding names that go with Spencer and Truamn.

Jessica, I agree that Eleanor and Beatrix are a bit stuffy. I'm trying to think of something classic, but not too popular.

I think you are right that Charlotte is about to take off in popularity. I've been seeing it alot lately. I think Beatrice is sweet, esp with this spelling and I also like Annabelle. Other ideas:
Gemma Charlotte
Lucy Charlotte

How do you pronounce Gemma? Like G as in "girl" or as in "George"?

Nadia- Very nice an underused! Nadia Emmeline, Nadia Bridgette, Nadia Piper, Nadia Lauren, Nadia Madeline.
Isadora- It seems dated but a good alternative to Isabella. Isadora Eve, Isadora Naomi, Isadora Genesis
Bridgette- Great Name and its underused I prefer Bridget though. Bridgette Lucy, Bridgette Layla, Bridgette Daisy, Bridgette Zoe/Isadora
Dahlia- Very powerful and beautiful. Dahlia Margaret, Dahlia Jillian, Dahlia Piper, Dahlia Brooke/Brooklyn, Dahlia Hope
Jacinda- I don't care for it at all! Jacinda Caitlin, Jacinda Elise,
Piper- It's too trendy for my taste, and I don't like -er at the end for girls. Piper Bridgette, Piper Isadora, Piper Emmeline, Piper Angelica
Macy- I really think this is too childish. Macy Emmeline, Macy Veronica, Macy Jasmine, Macy Eden, Macy Cassandra
Zoe- Like this name Zoe Bridgette, Zoe Nadia (Hopeful Life), Zoe Emmeline, Zoe Carmen, Zoe Cynthia, Zoe Esther
