Opinions? I can't make up my mind on it (like I can't on most names. Lol). I think I would use it on a girl although it is a surname and has the son/-sen ending. Ugh...breaking my own rule.

Jensen is my friends name. So that's all I think of when I see it. It means Viking I think.. at least that's what she used to tell me.
My friend is a girl, so it does honestly seem more girly to me just because when I see it I think of her (and she has a sister so it's just 100% girly to me. Haha)

I really love Jensen for a girl, but I feel that it would need more of a feminine name next to it. I'm actually contemplating on Jensen Skye myself, lol.

As for your "naming rule," if you love the name and you could see yourself using it, go for it!

Here are a few suggestions:
Jensen Maya
Jensen Isabel
Jensen Marie
Jensen Pearl
Jensen Fiona
Jensen Isla
Jensen Cait
Jensen Chloe
Jensen Amber
Jensen Ivy
Jensen Leah
Jensen Leila
Jensen Lila
Jensen Liza
Jensen Paige
Jensen Clare
Jensen Ava
Jensen Mia
Jensen Faye
Jensen Hallie/Halle
Jensen Eliza
Jensen Olivia
Jensen Hannah
Jensen Iris
Jensen Alexa

I love the name Jensen but, imo I only like it on a boy.

Only on a boy for me because of the (HOT!) actor, Jensen Ackles!!!!! I personally LOVE/ADORE the name and like the boys combo Samuel Jensen myself :)

Thanks guys! I really like it more on a girl than a boy. I know a boy with the last name who only goes by it and he's turned me off it on a boy.
Hemi, thanks for the list. I really like Jensen Fiona, Jensen Paige and Jensen Maya.

Mike and I both feel its really manly :( I guess how it could have a feminine flair as girls named "Jen" are pretty common on girls. But it definitely feels like a guys name <3

This is funny because I wanted Jensen Ackles to play Finnick in the Hunger Games... random fact!

I think its the Jen part that has me stuck on feminine. But my girls list was always more masculine when I first wrote them down. I think my first list has Sam (not Samantha), Fallon, Rylee, Dakota, Paige, and then Arabella which was my absolute I must use this name.
That's changed a bit with Martin's input. Lol. I think it'll stay a love/ hate thing with that name.

Jensen/Jenson is definitely a boys name, in my opinion.

It was in the top 100 in the UK in 2010, so I think it's getting more popular because of Jenson Button.

I think it's fine for a boy but I strongly dislike it on a girl.

Jensen for a boy ALL THE WAY. Though I definitely prefer the spelling Jenson over Jensen.

I agree with some of the posters. I see it as all boy, purely because of Jensen Ackles. He's the only Jensen I know of, so it seems all boy to me I'm afraid.

I automatically think of Jensen Ackles as well. This one is all boy to me.
