hmm So i was helping a mother and infant today and the baby (girl) 's name was Darlee. It got me thinking. My very first house (and i loved this house) was on Darley circle. So immediately i had a good association with the name. Although id never use it on a child, i think its a great GP (for me) so question is, is it boys or girls or either? (the little girl Darlee was just adorable so im lovig it on a girl) and what re your opinions? Oh and id use Darley oer Darlee.

Strikes me as a solely girl name since its close to Darlene and Darla. Darley looks better than Darlee too. But when ever I hear a name similar to Darlene, I automatically think of my great-aunt named Darlene Delite (yeah.... <_< ) and I cringe! :P but I do think it would be an adorable NN for Darlene or Darla.

Probably girl... Though I can see it on a boy as a nickname for Declan, Darwin and possibly even Devin. Though to me... I think it kinda sounds like a southern person saying Darling and not quite makin it :P but that's just me!

I actually thought "boy" when I first saw it, but I can also see it as a nickname for Darla / Darlene, etc. I agree with Jay, though... it does sound like someone saying "darling"!

My first impression was all girl! I cant picture it on a boy. Though I also know a lady named Dara and the two names are similar, so that was my thought.

It makes a great GP i think! And its cute how it brings back childhood memories like that :)

I've met a little girl named Darley. Her real name was Carley, but her mom called her Darley as a nn. She was SO cute! :)
