My daughter, Molly just started Kindergarten and her class is brand new, so I constantly hear new names and i think it's kinda fun.
I like to see what kind of people choose as names for their children.
We did have a class party, where we met all the parents and children, but I can't really remember all those names. I thinnk I got about 11 down
There are tons of kids in her school, so I constantly hear moms screaming William, Noah, Isabella and other names out there.
But this morning I met a mom with two little girls at the same age as Molly.
We started talking, and her little girls are just precious.
I asked her about her children and the two girls were named Calliope & Persephone. Although, they are a little similar, I think the names are stunning, and she made a comment about how her younger son was named Caspar/Casper?
I wouldn't personally use them, but I think they're awesome.
What do you think of these names?
Both as a sibset Calliope, Persephone & Caspar, but also as individual names.
Unusual sibset

I love the names Calliope and Persephone!!!
Obviously the family is a fan of Greek names, as am I.
Calliope is the Latin form of Kalliope which is of Greek origin and means beautiful voice. Kalliope was also goddess/muse of epic poetry and eloquence.
Persephone in Greek Mythos was the daughter of Zeus and Demeter, who was captured by God of the underworld Hades. She was allowed to leave but only for part of the year, giving origin to the turning of the seasons.
Casper is probably my least favorite. I like the sound of the name, but my association with the little ghost is too strong, unfortunately.
Caspar is better, It's of Persian origin and means treasurer.

I like the girls' names but Casper just makes me think of the friendly ghost. Weirdest sibling names I have heard recently are Diesel and Nitro. Both boys. Eeek.

They sound like similar style names to me.
Not ones I'd choose, but similar in style.
I don't dislike any of them, just know the first two my dh would never be able to remember how to spell and the last one he vetoed years ago.

Persephone is one of the names we considered for our daughter. I like it.
