So I'm really starting to like hubby's choice of Dallas for a little boy. I just don't know what to use middle name wise.
I was going to try to honor my husband and my father together, but it doesn't fit for me.
(Ryan is my hubs mn, James in my dads fn)
Last name is Shaffer.
All comments, criticisms, and suggestions are welcome!

And! Two middle name suggestions are welcome!

:)

Okay, I voted James but now I think I like Kennedy a little more. Dallas Kennedy... what an All-American name! :)

:) You know, it does sound like an all American name!

I had Kennedy picked out the first time for my daughter is she had been a boy. It think at first we were going to use Nicholas Kennedy and call him Kennedy.

Anyone awesome at putting names together?
I've been fiddling with Dallas and my dad/hubs name and I've got nothing.

James Lloyd Arnold
Nicholas Ryan

Well, I lied. I've got James Dallas Ryan and that's it :/

As far as two middles go, I think Dallas James Ryan Shaffer sounds nice. Then again, I tend towards more unusual names and they are way harder to say/pair so maybe my bar is set too low. From your poll, I'd vote Dallas James Shaffer except I feel it leans too strongly toward 's' with 2 ending with S and one beginning with it. I definitely prefer Ryan and James over Chase, Kennedy, and Presley since I feel Ryan and James are more solidly masculine... I've actually seen all these names used for girls at some point. So, my final choice for that was Dallas Ryan Shaffer even though it is a 2 2 2 syllable pattern, it still sounds quite nice and avoids all same letters/same endings conflict.

If you really want to honor James and Ryan but can't find a way to use them, I suggest looking for names with similar meaning. I plan to use a name with the same meaning as my brother's as a sideways kind of tribute. :) Or you could do an elaboration of the name like "Jameson" or variation like "Jacob".\

Good luck.

I still prefer Liam Jaylon though :) I changed the spelling of it because my dad goes by Jay and Jalon is the original spelling. :D Threw my daddy's name in there <3

Though Dallas Jaylon sounds nice too :D
