how do people feel about Eden ? My boyfriend loves it! I think its sweet and we are very religious I just don't know if Eden is trying to hard or what.....
Anywho... if you can think of any other modernish biblical names (besides Esther Ruth Rebekkah... all cousins) that would be nice

I think Eden is really cute, whether religious or not! :) I don't think its too high a standard, no. Plus its in trend right now, so it wouldn't be unheard of to name her such or anything <3 I feel it on the same as Faith, Hope, etc.. <3

I like the name Evangeline, but its too religious for me <3 I really like that though! WDYT? Nick name Evie :D or Ange haha <3

Biblical names... theres a list here on my second favorite naming site ever, hehe :) All biblical names, but a little less obvious are some. A little less mainstream are some as well. Though they also have some classics. http://nameberry.com...Names-for-Girls GL!

I LOVE Eden, but someone brought up the idea that it was a bad name bc of the negative connotation the garden of Eden has.... You know, fall of man... original sin... I didn't even thinnk about that. But that would be the same as naming your kid Eve i would think (which is still a great name). I just want to know if its just this one person or if thats how the name comes off as. I like Evangeline, BUT my boyfriend does not! :( we both agree on Eden and i am really nervous to tell him about that ladies opinion because i love the name and so does he... i just dont want her to have a negative connotation.

Uh, no. Not many people would have a negative connotation! I think serene when I hear Eden, a calm garden. The fall of man and all happened IN the garden, but had nothing to do with the garden itself, really! :) I could see naming your son Adam or Eve might make you think of original sin, but not Eden :) Thats my thoughts at least, and I was raised in a very religious home <3

My oh my I do love Eden, it has that unique vibe whether its religious or not. Like I don't know how to explain but it has the positive vibe of beauty and mystery..Who knows perhaps I am being over dramatic :P ? Anyways I love it <3

Eden is fine, it doesn't sound pretentious or anything.

I don't really know what you mean by "modern" Biblical names, since the Bible isn't modern. Anyway, Biblical names which I don't think sound old fashioned include
Eve
Miriam
Chloe
Leah
Lois
Selah
Rachel
