I don't have any associations, personally. Never heard it before! I think it sounds nice. Nick name Ellie, maybe? 
I am in love with that nick name, so its making me kind of like the combo a bit more. Makes me think of a mix of Bronwyn and Ella maybe. But its okay!

Reminds me of Erowyn! 
Though Elowen is much softer.
It's not my type of name, too "Fantasy, Lord of the Rings" type name for me.
But it's a name I could see loving on someone else's child!
And Had, I can totally see where your coming from!
Erowyn makes me think of a mix between Erin & Bronwyn! ♥
