I am reading a book in which the main characters name is Chiara. It is an Italian name. Can somebody tell me how it is pronounced?

Chiara is a Latin name pronounced Kee AR uh. It means clear, bright or famous.

Thanks, I thought that was probably how it was pronounced. It was annoying me that I didn't know. Its a pretty name.

I just have to know what book you are reading. I read one called "The Falconer's Knot," in which the leading lady was named Chiara. Just curious.
