My daughter is set on naming her baby sister. She's decided on a name but I can't figure out how I want it to be spelled.
Our last name is 9 letters long so I like shorter and to the point names.
The name she chose is "over used" and many people don't like it.....I don't care about that because my daughter likes it.
Please help me choose the best spelling.

Kaley (short and to the point but our friends daughter is spelled the same)
Kailey (I read it at "ky-lee)
Kaleigh (too long with our last name?)
Kayley (too many y's?)

I'm against Kaylee

Kailey. Kayley is the most straightforward with pronunciation, but Kailey looks a little less trendy than the rest of these. Anything else looks horrible imo, especially if it ends with -leigh.

I see the name Hailey frequently and never hear it pronounced as Hy-Lee, so you should be fine with the Kailey spelling on that front. I agree with Laney as well that it's less trendy without looking atrocious, haha. Best of luck! :)

I agree with Laney that Kailey is best.
