Just saw one of my friends new nephews, his name is....... Leum..... which is a Kre8tive way to spell Liam. What do you ladies think? Nice variation or a bad alternative? I personally don't like it.

Hmm, Leum, Leum...looks and sounds like some sort of medical term for a body part ("The patient is experiencing pain in his right leum"..). Um, no, not cute.

Ha, I completely agree with Blush! It does look more like a body part. Liam is much nicer, in my opinion.

I would not have pronounced it as Liam at first glance.... Leum looks more like Lou-em to me.

This is bad, but though not as bad as the Klaryicyce (forgot how they actually spelled it) that you showed me! Yuck.

First glance I thought it said Lemur, and then I thought of a body part.

It was Khlarhys

And yeah I thought of Lumen, which is a part of the body (the opening of arteries or organs like the intestines)

I would have prn it Lee-oom. But I figured it was just a nasty spelling for "Liam". Definite ICK.

-_-

Well I got it on my first try...does that mean I'm becoming immune to cr8ive spellings?? :o I guess it's because it reminded me of the only other word I know that ends in -eum...Museum.

I just don't really see the point of changing Liam to Leum. It looks pretty awful.

I could understand Leam maybe but even then it looks like a word..or an auto correct for Luna somehow.

I dislike greaty :( mostly becuse there were about 20,000+ babies named Liam and a similar amount name William (potentialy nick named Liam).. And this child is going to have to respell and correct everyone on his name :( Liam is such a popular and traditional choice.. It'd be like taking Mary or Eve and respelling it Mayrie or Eave or something... It's not unique, its unfortunate.

And lol I agree with PP's on it looking like a body part :(

LOVE Liam!
Despise Leum! Reminds me of plums, also reminds me of lemurs. Not a fan at all.
They should have stuck to the traditional spelling.. ;)

Prefer Liam. I would never have pronounced it "Liam" if you hadn't said.

There is nothing wrong with traditional spellings.
