I love the name Emmeline, I am curious to see how everyone would pronounce it though.
I prefer the "-lyn" ending, like "emma-lynn" rhyming with Evelyn. But I dont really like the more phonentic spelling Emmalyn, the "y" makes it look so trendy.
What spelling is the best of this name?
Emalin
Emmalyn
Emmelyn
Emelyn
Or would Emmeline be an acceptable spelling when looking for the lyn version of this name, similar to Madeline?
Do you prefer Emme-"lyn" or Emme-"line"?
I like the name Emmeline Jane with the nickname Emmy
name opinion?

I prefer Emelyn pronounced Emma-Lyn.
They are all very pretty names though!

I prefer the pronunciation "Emma-LINE" - that's how I hear it in my head when I see it spelled Emmeline. Sort of like Madeline. I honestly think it depends on where you're from, too, with how you pronounce it.(:
I like the spelling Emmelynn. I think that's the most clear.
Regardless of the pronunciation, I love Emmeline Jane and the nickname Emmy! All so cute.(:

Well I'm sort of torn...my sister's name is Madeline pron. "LYN" but when I see Emmaline I think "LINE" mostly because I don't like the "LYN" pron. with Emma, it sound a bit awkward and a tad like a pharmaceutical drug.
