Sooo many names were once boy names, like Tracy and Courtney and Lacey...
the different spellings I find odd, but maybe it is for a reason? Like is Chelsey the original perhaps, and Chelsea the newer spelling?

But I personally dislike it haha! I can only picture a little boy getting teased...

Chelsea is a name that I have grown up 'knowing'. [I had a childhood friend named Chelsea] I guess Emily & Chelsea were two of the names I would always use on my baby dolls and so I can only see it on a little girl
I think a boy named Chelsey would be teased... because I have NEVER heard of it being used on a boy before... hmm.. its different I guess..

I have two very good guy friends named Kelsey.
About how old are they Saoirse? Do you see it still as a name that can be chosen for boys or do you think it has crossed further to the girl's side?

One is 24 and the other is 28. Now that I think about it, I know a lot of dudes with "girl" names. I have a two guy friends named Shannon/Shannen, I know two Ashley's, I know a Courtney, a Kelly, two Kelsey's, and an Aubrey. I think it's a boring name when used for a girl, I think it is fresher as a boys name, despite the fact that it started out as a boys name. A few people on this board have slammed my love of Shannon for a boy, saying he will get teased, but my guy friends had no problems... and the people who made those comments about it were like, 16. I'm 31 hahaha. I don't need that kind of insight.
Ash-- just because you haven't heard of it doesn't mean it's not true. Those names started off as boys names. It doesn't mean they can't still be boys names.
