So I've recently really started liking the name Ruby.

I have the following questions:
1. What middle name ideas do you suggest for Ruby?
2. What do you think of the name in general? Is it usable or not (in your opinion)?
3. If its usable to you, would you see what your significant other thought? Or would it stay on your usable list that they dont like?

Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated!

1) I personally love the name Ruby. It's one of my best friends names <3

2) I think maybe a longer, more traditional middle name could balance it out. For example:

Ruby Charlotte
Ruby Annabelle
Ruby Elizabeth
Ruby Penelope
Ruby Madeline
Ruby Isabella

3) If you like it I wouldn't take it off of your list

1) A longer name would fit perfectly as a mn for Ruby:

2) I'd use it as its very cute and I can also picture it on a grown up woman!

I actually like all of these except Cecelia (mostly because of the people I've known with the name) and Leona (because of the old manager I had, she wasnt very nice). My favorite of others is Ruby Isabel.

Is Ruby too much knowing that both my birthday and our anniversary are in July (which the birth stone is Ruby) and my engagement ring (that i want) has a ruby as the center stone?

I think it's useable. It's cute and spunky.

3. If its usable to you, would you see what your significant other thought? Or would it stay on your usable list that they dont like?
I would probably try to compromise first and see if he would agree to use it. If not, I would probably try to persuade him to use it as a middle name. If all else failed, I'd move it to my guilty pleasure list.

I don't think so. I don't think that's a connection that most people would make. I think that's kind of cute, actually. It gives personal meaning to the name.

Ruby has been placed on my usable list (not our short list).

Dustin says "Its not a like and its not a dislike" Which in turn means he doesnt want it on our short list but doesnt care if its on my usable list.

Still deciding on a middle name tho.
