Name: Dawn
Location: CO
My husbands name is Jess Alden and he is a fourth Generation. We would like Jess to carry on for our son, but I hate the middle name Alden. Is there another A name that would fit well with Jess?

I think if you are going to change a Four generation tradition, it definitely needs to be a meaningful choice. What about picking something from your side of the family? Or something that honors you? It wouldn't necessarily have to be an A name if it has a significant meaning. What about a play on your name, Dawn?
Jess Agon - (pronounced A gon) Agon is albanian and means dawn
Jess Anatole - Anatole is Greek and means The East or dawn
Jess Aroon - (pronounced A run) and has a similar sound to Aaron. Aroon is thai and also means dawn.
Jess Dawson - could also work if you are willing to use another middle initial, traditionally it means David's son but I think it sounds close enough to Dawn to work.

Here's a couple of ideas:
Jess Aiden
Jess Aldric
Jess Alaric
Jess Alexander
Jess Adrian
Jess Austin
But I love Katie's suggestion of using something from your side of the family. And Dawson is adorable.

Dawson is a great choice I'd say considering your name and it would still carry on your husband Jess's name...
