I'm always curious how it is to grow up with a name, and how a person perceived it as a kid versus as an adult. For example, I found my name bland as a kid and there were people named it (allison) all over the place. But, as I got older, I liked it. I liked that I got allie a fair bit, and as an adult or teen I could fit in with the grownups without feeling awkward, as I didn't have the same name as any of their kids, who were mostly things like makaylas or taylors or camerons etc.
But what did you think of your name? did you like it then, do you now?
Maybe you will think of something that I wouldn't about a name, and save my kid some troubles!
What did you think of your name, growing up and now?

I didnt like my name growing up, and i don't like it now... but quite honestly it is what i have been called all my life and i can't really pick any other name that i would be happier with, because even though im not a big fan of it, it's my name and my identity always has been... and that's okay.

Oddly enough, I never really thought about my name that much. It was just my name and I never liked it or hated it. It was just there. Lol. Then when I started looking at names for my son/daughter I started to think about my name. (Nicole) And it just seems kind of dated to me now, idk, I cant really picture the name Nicole on a little kid. I've mostly gone by Nikki, though, which I like a lot better. I think that Nikki works better when your younger and I'll probably use Nicole more when I'm older. Idk if that makes sense! Lol.

I am always called a Tipical boys name because of the spelling. So, I got a typical boys nickname *Ben* I don't really mind my name

I like my name.
I've only met one person in my school who has had the same name, and I've never had a person in my class with my name (Shannon).
I just really like my name, although there are no good nicknames for it..
Except for Shae, which some people call me.

I always hated my name! (that is, my real, birth certificate name! ). Growing up, I always had a bunch of nicknames and stuff, still do... But I think it's all me being crazy! I mean, when I look at my name, it really does look pretty. And it sounds fairly nice. And I think some little girl could look precious with that name, and it ages well! It plays up on the frills, I think. So some cutesy little blond girl in a frilly dress would fit my name, in my opinion. But, that's not me. So it's not that my name is bad, I just don't like it for me. And I plan to change it when I grow up

I really liked my name growing up and still like it. I dont LOVE it, but I am happy with it. See growing up, I was one of two Stac (e)y"s in my whole school, both elementary and highschool, until my senior yr. That was two different schools in two different cities. It's certainly not a rare name, but I am 32 (in a couple weeks), and I found when I was a senior in highschool that the freshmen coming into school had my name, so I was kinda ahead of the trend I think. Had I been about 4-5 yrs younger I probably would have hated my name.
