As someone with a neutral/masculine-perceived first name, I would balance Peyton with a more feminine middle name to lessen the chances that she gets mistaken for a boy. While correcting people isn't that big of a deal, it gets insanely annoying after awhile.
While I feel like Peyton is neutral enough on its own for people to say she could be either sex, if they read her middle name with it as James, they might automatically make the assumption that she's male.

I completely agree with this - I like both Peyton and James on a girl, but together they seem very masculine.
