I just started a short story I have to write for a class at school. I came up with an idea.

An Amish girl leaves home for her time to experience modern life. She goes to live with her mom's twin sister who left the Amish community when she was 18. While she is there she discovers a horrible secret about why her grandparents joins the Amish life.

Main character- She is 18 years old. She has never been outside of the community. She loves her family. She is quiet and very sweet. She has delicate features and striking violet eyes. She has jet black hair and pale skin. She loves music but doesn't get to hear any except for in church.

Cousin- He is 18. He is outgoing and loud. He loves to make people laugh. He has a straight nose and strong jaw. He has violet eyes and black hair which he keeps longer. I would like for him to have a trade name.
Thanks in advance!

I believe the Amish generally have simple, classic, or biblical names.

Girl:
Elizabeth
Eliza
Eleanor
Lydia
Ruth
Anna
Emma
Hannah
Sarah
Leah
Willa
Grace
Eve/Eva
Jane
Rose

Eliza Grace, Hannah Ruth, Lydia Rose, Anna Jane

Boy:
Chandler (Refers to a candle-maker)
Mason
Baker
Tanner
Fletcher
Hunter
Marshall
Sawyer
Turner
Walker

Any of these help?

What about Anna Mae or Katie Rebecca Lapp/Yoder for the girl and maybe Ephram Amos Stoltzfus/Fisher for the boy?

Patience
Chastity
Faith
Grace
Hope
Charity

Thanks so much for all of help!

I really like Rebekah, Eleanor or Grace for the girl! I'm leaning towards Rebekah Grace or Eleanor Grace.

I like Rebekah Grace. I read a book with an Amish girl named Rebekah, so I think it really works
