Former Playboy model, Holly Madison, has welcomed a baby girl with husband, Pasquale Rotella, on March 5th, 2013 at 11:59 am. The baby girl weighed in at 7 pounds, 2 ounces. What did they name her, you ask?

Rainbow Aurora

Holly gushed about baby Rainbow saying: “I wanted to give my daughter a unique name," “Growing up, there was a girl in my school named Rainbow and I was so envious of that name. I thought it was so pretty and unique!”

Husband Rotella told news, "I've never been more in love than I am today as, after months of waiting, I finally was able to hold my daughter for the first time…I'm truly the luckiest man in the world."

While Holly and Pasquale chose a very out-of-the-ordinary name for their baby girl, I think it is unique without being TOO unique. I do compliment Holly on her use of the name Aurora, absolutely stunning and balances out the name perfectly.

(Note that I used ROYGBIV, so corny. :D)

What do you think Ladies? ^_^

I kinda like Aurora but adding Rainbow to it is WAAAY over the top for me personally, BUT it is not the strangest name I've ever heard. (Moxie Crimefighter, Fifi Trixiebelle, Sage Moonblood and Pilot Inspektor are far worse)

If they call her Rain or Raini then I don't think it's so bad. Aurora has always been a favorite of mine although I prefer it with another princess like name, such as Cecilia Aurora. That's just my taste.

I am in LOVE with Aurora. Rainbow is actually cute thinking about all the pretty nick names to go with it!!

Nicknames For Rainbow
  • Rainy
  • Rain
  • Bow
  • Nia
  • Rai (Ra-y)
As for all the other strange and unique names I've heard of (Hippo, Mango, etc.), Rainbow isn't as bad as it sounds!!

Well, let's just say Rainbow was one of the names I wanted to name my baby sister when I was 7!!! (along with Rockyroad) Not a fan of this name. Aurora is nice. Lets hope Rainbow can go by Rain or Rainy - still not my cup of tea, but better than Rainbow!

I love Aurora, but Rainbow is just not my cup of tea. Perhaps is she was born in the 70s we wouldn't be batting an eye.

I don't like Rainbow as a given name. I think she may be called Rain in the future by classmates etc.
