My sister and her boyfriend are expecting their first baby in October. Listening to them talk - it may take them the next 7-8 months to agree on a name! I thought you guys may have some ideas I can pass on to them. The last name is Washington. Here is what they like so far...

Boy - doesn't have a first name idea, wants George (his dad's name) as the middle name. Yes this will give my nephew (if it is a boy) the name ??? George Washington. UGH! Is it really as bad as I think?

I'd suggest the spelling Cannon instead of Canaan to her.

If George is in the middle name slot, I don't think the Washington is too big an issue. If it was a first name I would totally agree.

Thanks for the ideas - I will pass them on to my sister. Canaan is pronounced KAYN-uhn, like the city in the Bible. Please, keep the suggestions coming! Right now they are saying a girl's middle name will be Michelle - my sister's middle name.
