Well, I found this name out of nowhere. Its from Arthurian legend and I read it in my mind.

Reminds me of the car Toyota Avalon....I personally wouldn't name a child after a car

There's a beach town in New Jersey called Avalon as well. Since you live in NYC, some people you know might be familiar with it and there's a possibility your child could be teased.
Aside from that, I think it's an attractive name and goes well with your other children's names.
