So I am planning on having five kids. My last name is Greene. I really like traditional or preppy names. My first child is Andrew Chandler Greene, my second is Elizabeth Riley Greene, my 3rd is William Parker Greene, and I am planning on naming my next daughter Kate. However I cannot think of a middle name that sounds good with Kate! I know that most people use the name Katherine and then go by Kate as a nickname but I really want her first name to actually be Kate. Any suggestions?? I originally was gonna name her Emma Kate Greene but I kinda like Kate as a first name. Should I leave it as Emma Kate or should I think up a middle name for Kate?? My next daughter is going to be named Mary Caroline Greene. PLEASE HELP!!

{Sorry, I'm not sure if I misunderstood :wub: Do you already have 3 children? Or have you just decided what you would name them?}

However, Welcome to BNG. I haven't seen you around before, so I'm assuming you're fairly new to the site.
If you need any help or have any trouble getting around, don't hesitate to contact any of the moderators, I hope we'll be able to help you with whatever you need.

Anyhow, I think just Kate is fine for a first name!
I do love Emma Kate, though it seems to be the most popular middle name for Emma, as far as I've seen.

Here's a few suggestions for middle names ♥;

Kate Addison
Kate Gwendolyn
Kate Madeline
Kate Helena
Kate Lydia
Kate Georgiana
Kate Julianne
Kate Emily
Kate Vivienne
Kate Allison
Kate Gwyneth
Kate Meredith
Kate Evelyn
Kate Anneliese
Kate Lorelai
Kate Madison
Kate Julia
Kate Alexandra
Kate Isobel
Kate Gabrielle
Kate Genevieve
Kate Eloise
Kate Olivia
Kate Patricia
Kate Harper
Kate Elizabeth
Kate Alexandria
Kate Lillian
Kate Imogen
Kate Emmeline

Here's a few more suggestions for first names.
Liliana
Sarah
Edie
Lois
Charlotte
Olivia
Juliet
Victoria
Rose
Eva
Emily
Hannah
Sophia
Julia
Helen
Margaret
Isobel
Louisa
Nicole
Evelyn
Claire
Ava
Delia
Mariah
Breanna
Norah
Ruby
Anna
Madeleine
Grace
Lydia
Bridget
Eve
Alice
Lea

I personally love Katherine/Kathryn/Catherine, so I would use it.
I also find middle names that flow, tend to be easier to find with Katherine than Kate.
But each to their own. :]

I like the name Kate, but I like it as a nickname for Katherine. Naming her just "Kate" is like naming your kid "Bob" in my opinion haha. But here are some combos for Kate…

Kate Blair Greene
Kate Cecilia Greene
Kate Eleanor Greene
Kate Emmaline Greene
Kate Gretchen Greene

I think Kate is fine as a name on it's own. However, since your other children have longer more classic names which tend to then have a nickname, I think Katherine would fit better. I think Andrew, Elizabeth, William and Katherine makes a great set of siblings!

Another thing to bear in mind is having William and Kate in the same family, considering the recent Royal Wedding. This sort of depends on when the children are born, but if it's in the next few years then it might be a bit strange. Therefore it might better to use Emma. Emma Katherine Greene sounds really nice.

Andrew Chandler, Elizabeth Riley, William Parker and

Katherine Lena / Layna Greene
Katherine Leilani Greene
Katherine Renee Greene
Katherine Phoebe Greene
Katherine Emily Greene
Katherine Julia Greene
Katherine Melanie Greene
Katherine Lucy Greene

Kate Antonia Greene
Kate Alexandra Greene
Kate Jemima Greene
Kate Juliana Greene
Kate Madison Greene
